Hard Drinkers, Lets Drink Hard (Spirits, Liquors and Cocktails)
-
Had some 15 the other night. Crazy nose on that stuff.
-
You are correct, I was thinking of something else, whose name escapes me, and RR popped in, but that Single Barrel is tasty. Outside of the majors here, anything else is next to impossible to find. I can find a million and one Cognacs in this hole, but good bourbon, or whiskey for that matter are scarce.
-
The Pierre Ferrand 1840 cognac is a great choice if you can find that. Modeled after 19th century cognac, though a bit stronger.
I'm heading to the store for some damn booze!
-
I got some rum for my boss (belated Xmas gift) and some Martin Miller's gin, which I'm drinking now before I jump into some tequila (they only had a reposado Mezcal and some gutter bottom shelf bullshit, and I prefer my mezcal unaged and not shitty).
-
Just because…..
-
Courvosier is under Jack Daniels, which occupies the top shelf. I am flummoxed by their shelving / organization.
-
Alphabetical? Bourbon comes before Courvosier?
Stupid English.
-
Typically the way that spirits are arranged, at least in the States, is top to bottom by quality, left to right be variety. So Jack Daniels would never occupy the top shelf, and courvoisier would be on a shelf in the other cognacs.
-
And you're mixing variety and brand, so there
-
Jack Daniels is on the top due it being the favoured drink of thieving heroin addict, Sainsburys naturally assume that they all walk with a stoop, or are midgets. No self respecting junkie would touch Courvosier.

I was hoping coming from you I'd get a Slash reference, but that was pretty great too.
-
I aim to please (warning: the previous statement may be factually incorrect)
-
Pam would certainly say so.
-
Again, you assume to be talking to someone who cares
-
I agree, noticed that too. Though I assumed it was a liter. It is an import. I wonder what Pappy or Stagg would run…
-
Import costs, plus heavy taxation on spirits equals much higher pricing man.
