Days in the life of Snowy (aka Snowy World Tour)

Wonderful photos. The streets are so clean, it's remarkable. Unless the sign on the phone pole illustrates the penalty for littering.
-
@sabergirl , @steelworker, thanks for the comments - appreciated. SW, the streets are amazingly clean/spotless, everywhere, even in the back streets when looking for grime! I've not seen a single person litter in any of my time on any trip here. Not sure if it's due to punishment/fine, or just upbringing of respect of Commons. Considering their general respect for people, things, I'd guess it's culture respect of Commons..

Probably a first world rant, but'll stick in here as it's relevant. Tomorrow I flight back to Sydney (sniffs). Anyhow, I'd put in for an upgrade to business before I started the trip. It hasn't come through for the return leg yet so thought I'd check on it….Looks like the plane is literally full and I may not only not get business, but may miss premium economy and be in normal economy. That's going to feck with a lot of my plans if the case :/.

are you flying qantas snowy? from recent experiences, they've been a huge disappointment.
on a separate note, amazing photos from this trip. gives me inspiration and more motivation to bring out my film camera on my next trip back there.

@louisbosco , yup, am on Qantas. Been flying with them since 2003, can't say I've noticed much service difference over the years. I really do hope I get my requested upgrade, I'm kind of counting on a good night's sleep and the extra space :o.
Glad the photos have helped inspire you. Do bring your camera next time for sure. It's one of the most photogenic countries in the world for sure; everything is so different to 'normal' day to day, it all makes for a photo

@Snowy yeah. well i think primarily because this year, after they cancelled the perth-singapore route and transferred us to jetstar without any warning has been the last straw. And especially now, with them having reduced the number of flights of out perth from a qantas plane has been an issue too. in flight services wise, they've been doing fine. other than that that, they've still got major issues to sort out with the company as a whole.
anyhow, i do hope you get your upgrade!! long flight back to syd…

It's not looking good. Got to the airport prior to check-in to see if it'd help, no dice. Last ditch effort just before the flight boards to see if any haven't made it, fingers crossed!!!!! Feeling like it's going to be a long night with the cattle.

(and on the topic of the photos, I know some of them are a little dark, however, it was how they were captured/have not been touched up (most they've had is a crop sometimes). I know I can work them harder, however, as they were shot is either reflective of the lighting, and/or the manual configuration I had on the camera at the time to shoot in the street (pre-set focus, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed).)

…and I'm back in Sydney. Literally 2.5x warmer than it was in Tokyo, mega contrast. Did not get an upgrade, coach the whole way, 2 hours sleep all in all. Have had a little nap to help get through the day. Think I'll be coming up with new travel rules after that debacle. On with the photos!
