White's Boots

After some spring cleaning.. Love the little shine on these..

First post, I’ve read every single page of this thread, it's been the most informative, thank you to the few members I PMed.
I'll keep this short. I ordered a pair of White's Semi-Dress from Amazon, size 10.5D. I sent tracings to Baker's and to White's, both coming back with different numbers. Based on that and what I read on this forum and a couple of members I talked to here, I went with my own size, the 10.5D based mostly on one thing, my sneaker size. I'm a 10.5 UK or 11.5 US in all athletic shoes, this includes Nike, Asics, Mizuno, Adidas, Brooks. I wear this size in all of my athletic shoes. In Converse Chuck Taylors I wear a 10.5.
I'm not a boot expert but right out of the box these are my first impressions - Feels like a pretty damn good fit. Very minor heel slippage. Very minor. Nice toe room, fits nice and snug, not too tight at all, not too big. The only thing that does seem off is right in the middle of the foot on the inside it seems like it could be a bit wider, maybe I could have gone with a 10.5E, or is this normal? I wonder if this would make the boot too wide altogether? So, as far as the fit, for now, it feels good. Guess I'll have to break it in.
I believe this is the Chromexcel. Yes, it surely does "bruise" quickly. Even upon first tying the boots the leather is already changing. My questions - pretreatment recommendations? Sole recommendations? My cobbler only stocks really crummy, thin, off-brands so I will try to find something online and take it in to him.
Thanks for the thread everyone. It saved me. Sorry for the bad pics, I'm no Ansel Adams. -
They look great and should conform more to your feet quite quickly in the mid foot tightness isn't too bad. In terms of soles, I am guessing that you are in the UK, so I would contact the Shoe Healer (http://www.shoehealer.co.uk) to discuss options.

Ah, Shoehealer…Richard helped me with a sizing conundrum once, nice guy, think I'll message now

Richard is indeed a very knowledgeable and helpful guy. I'll go to him when I scrounge up the cash for my next pair of Tricker's.
Oh, and the boots look like they fit as they should. Like Mega said, once you've worn them for a while, they'll start to confirm to your feet better and will become more comfortable.

looking good

The Distressed Smooth is a very nice rich leather. I waxed my BH with Obenaufs LP and the result was so nice!!!

@riffblaster general Dubbed them with Sno Seal. Did it twice in the two years I've owned them.

thanks @Jestre !

OK, here we go. My custom White's Harvest Rough Out Bounty Hunters.
Where they began:
Those are rad. What is the different between Harvest rough out and Distressed rough out leather? I think my next pair will be something like this, but I can't figure out the different between the leathers.
-
Not too sure about the difference @Ragehaver. I believe 'harvest' was just what they named that particular color/hue of leather. The rough-out on mine seems very similar to what you linked so I wouldn't worry about it too much if it looks good to ya.
