PIH5DCT - 25oz Indigo/Indigo Selvedge Denim Tapered Cut
-
Well I finally was able to get them on an button them up completely. These things are amazing. Insanely stiff and a little tight but not uncomfortably. Thank you again @Alex for helping with sizing these things are perfect
-
Word of advice to anyone about to pick some of these up - if you CAN button the top button when you first get them, they're too big and you need to size down. I ended up getting my actual tag size and, 4 wears in after a cold-soak, I can button the top button!

Sounds like you are going to be in trouble after washing them. Just sayin'
-
So will these fit me? I can't button the top button? Haven't bought jeans in a minute

If not, 32w 31 inseam will be up for sale real soon.

probably too tight. You can expect an inch of stretch. I blew the button off a pair of XHS that were that tight.

Yeah, I think I agree with @Filthy25ozJunkie unfortunately.

I feel like the indigo/indigo 25oz that these are made of breathes a little better than the regular XHS. I still don't think it is for most folks a comfortable denim for summer. The flagship 21oz iron heart denim is to my mind the most breathable heavyweight fabric they offer. I wear my 634s in the summer, all the time.

Hi IH'ers, my first post. Been lurking for awhile now but had to come in here to share just how amazing these jeans are.
Not quite a month in and they've broken in real nicely. Gave them a quick hot soak and have been wearing them every day since. This denim behaves entirely unlike the regular 25oz. It just feels so much softer and fuzzier, still heavy as hell but these were incredibly comfortable from the start. I even found the initial buttoning up far easier with these than the 666-xhs.
Already some noticeable fading around the knees.
Can't wait to see how everyone else's pairs evolve over time, this thread is going to be legendary soon.

Great post.

does the 25oz has a relatively tight or loose weave? e.g. comfortable for summer?
I just wore mine today while working the London Marathon, walked about 12 miles carrying 40lbs worth of camera equipment. Felt fine…

I couldn't button my top button for the first 2 days. After a soak and leaving a pen in the top hole to dry was able to do it. Go for it man. I've noticed a decent amount of give to mine

@peregrine those stacks are lookin great man. How tall are you and did you hem them? I'm struggling to decide how much to take off mine or if I even should

Thanks. I'm 5'7" with a 30.5" inseam. They have not been hemmed. This pair measured 36.5" pre soak and shrunk down to just under 35" post hot soak. After some wear the length is now at 33" (1.5" from the cuff and the rest hidden in the combs). Perfect length for stacks.
