Our Cars (dream or actual)

i will never let a dealer wash my car. the amount of fine grand micro dust running through their cloth and water is unknown to me. on the other hand @Anesthetist , try meguiar's hybrid ceremic wax. it's a hydro-application product and is easily to apply and maintain.. really helps water bead up well and flow away. leaving beading water in the sun is a whole different story though..

I’ll look for it @louisbosco. Right now i use their black wax and it makes for a stunningly beautiful car [emoji1786]

compared to soft99 liquid wax from japan i use where it's wax on wax off mr miyagi, this is way easier to apply and with great results. there's a lot of Si02 wax are out there but i've been using meguiars for awhile now and looked at plenty of videos and reviews before i tested it. they're decently priced too.

Do any of you know if there exists a device that can prevent a catalytic converter from being stolen? I ask because I'm looking at buying a used Honda in the future, but Honda's are one of the most stolen vehicles in the US. I know a guy that has a Honda and his catalytic converter was stolen in broad daylight. I also know another person who owns a Honda Civic and her car was broken into twice. My former sister-in law also had her catalyic converter stolen while she was parked in a gym parking lot.
I coulda swore I came across a Youtube video for such a device but the name escapes me. I also wonder if this so-called lock actually prevents catalytic converters from being stolen. I'm guessing professional thieves are a clever bunch and can figure out how to disable these things.

just de-cat and do straight pipe exhaust. job done!
-
Looks like it is a common problem in the UK too!

I used to work at a hospital where their parking lot was worse than a “U-wrench-It”. I had exhaust parts taken from my WRX, while a buddy had his catalytic converter taken. A coworker had later found his wheel locks had been tampered with.
The problem stemmed from employees all had to park in the same lot which was far from the hospital entrance. The thieves knew anyone in that lot would be predisposed for at least 12 hours. Easy targets [emoji849]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Winter wheels and tires are on, so it's off for a mountain drive until the snow hits and then the AMG goes into hibernation for the winter.
-
actual update..
-
@QuantumMechanic Why put winter wheels on if it hibernates?
-
Because it may not snow here, but you are still required to have cold weather tires (which I guess is the more appropriate term over winter tires).
If we have inclement weather she doesn’t leave the nest.

Legal requirement - gotcha.
