…as they say, 'sh*t happens'. Turns out my buddy has the tool to attach the rivet! ( old hot rod upholsterer )!
Actually I ripped the left rear pocket of my jeans trying to shimmy by a piece of equipment at work, about 2 inches of the lower outside pocket, material is fine just the threads pulled out, and I just about cried. I mean I've only had these pants about a month! Well guess what? Same buddy to the rescue and he sewed them up perfectly with the same color thread and everything!
Dodging bullets left and right!
All good, thanks Guys!

…going to attempt to post a pic of 'Moi' in the super monster killer 634 XHS jeans. These were brand new with no soak at the time of this pic.
…gotta toughin' up to break in these babies! I've been a Levi's 505'er for the majority of my life, no more!
...have a pair of 555'er's on the way that I had hemmed and their going to be a closer fit to what I'm used to but I do like these 'old schoolers'! 25oz! Tough Stuff!!

I received a pair of these from Iron Heart today in a tag size 33". The 'actual waist measurement' is apparently 34" but my own measurements of the jeans suggests smaller (which is fine).
Just wondering, how much stretch have people got out of these in the waist? Is an inch realistic?
I have a feeling these jeans are going to be absolutely perfect. The 'holy grail', if you will.
-
One inches I would says, do some squat.
After just 30 minutes or so, they're already feeling better.
I think they'll ideally stretch 0.75" to 1" in the waist.
I've left them 37" in length so that I double cuff. I want some nice weighty cuffs to go with big boots.
These jeans are so awesome.

Ive gotten close to 1" of stretch in my XHS.
If you need 1.5" more in the waist it sounds like you may need to size up?

I actually went back and edited my post. I think they'd be too baggy in the waist if I gained 1.5". I actually think these should be the perfect size (after a few weeks), i.e. with an extra inch of room in the waist. I could do with losing a few pounds of excess beer anyway, so it's all good. The fit is spot on in the thigh, knee, etc.
I'll try to post some photos soon.

@going_to_battle They’ll shrink between one half an inch to one inch with a wash/soak and stretch out an inch.

This is what I struggle with though….
Based upon the comments above, if I wear them for a few months, the waist should stretch about 1".
When I eventually wash/soak them, if the waist shrinks an inch, won't that take them back to their current (i.e. brand new) waist? It shouldn't shrink them to even smaller than they are now, right?
-
Wearing now to achieve stretch will mitigate some of the shrinkage when they finally get a wash. In my experience it mitigates most but not all.
It will not mitigate shrinkage in the length, so the bigger issue is your leg shrinking an inch and taking and fading or worked in creases with it, further up your leg.

Neph I remember you posting this advice recently & found it to be very helpful.
Below is another one from you I liked:
In general, XHS will end up slightly larger (by about half an inch), than published measurements after shrinkage and stretch has happened.

Thats a really good point about the fades-creases moving further up the leg with a washing.
Im in the same position with my 666-21s. soaked them twice, but no wash yet.
Im putting that off till its absolutely necessary.what's the best way to lock them in?
wearing them wet after the wash maybe? -
@dinobarnesberlin you don’t have to worry sir. The 21oz is fully sanforised and will not loose any length in the leg.

Thank you @neph93 . Those are comforting words to hear
I don't know why I still tend to overthink these things sometimes. -

Off for hemming.
Left cuff with one inch added for shrinkage hopefully will get me that sweet spot.
Had these so long I cannot remember if I soaked them or not. These have been in storage for 5 years or so.
