Craft Works - Let's Get Creative!

Not for the faint at heart. Respect to the crafts people that make the denims we so proudly wear!
4 leather craft needles in: (fortunately i have a good supply and determination to finish)

Thanks. Me too. This is the 1st zipper ive sewn in so just doing a tack line to keep it in place a d make sure it lines up correctly.
Your seeing the outside of the denim which will be flipped to inside showing the selvedge when complete, along with the chain stitch.
Plan is to also sew molle and/or velcro to one of the sides for backpack/laptop bag carry. Debating on a interior liner.
Probably should have started w a 21oz remnant. But wheres the fun in that. Lol. Love the xhsbb. And have another piece if i fuck this up -or-preferred, like this one. May have to invest in sewing machine tho. Or not. I love hand stitching.

Began using punch after previous pic. Made things much easier and expedient. Zipper now tack’d in and positioned properly (meh. For the most part and good enough for government work). Now to do a proper chain stitch and w evenly spaced stitches. Gonna snag a craft pen from the wife to mark.

Pretty damn cool @mikebarhoot. I often consider what to do with my cutoffs apart from saving them for patching. You’ve started me thinking again. Inlike the idea of heavy denim patchwork «tray» for the sideboard/bedside table. The kind of thing you can dump your EDC in.
-
Oooohhh. I like that too Ruben! May try that with some other remnants.
Was also thinking about setting some in epoxy to use for knife handles.

I just discovered this thread out of curiosity because I got off topic in the WAYWT thread this morning…
so here’s a little cross post of some spoons I carved for my wife. Will post creative things here from now on..This is my first time carving and I’ve really enjoyed it!

Latest leather venture:
Belt/Bike bag

Not sure if its up to me or those damned cell phones…
After couple of month it started with some little holes and later on that f*ckin pocket blowout:Here my beloved RJBxR&H…decided to take a piece of selvage chambray fabric and build some new pocket bags..

Very crafty @nietenhosen - Pocket bags seem to be the nemesis for many people.

Cave Digitale Bar … a students project!
Bought the Moccamaster because it’s adorable!
The doors getting the same orange RAL 2004 as the Moccamaster!
-
Finished Bar with painted doors in the backround.
Made from vintage seats we collected over the last years. Fabric stamped or lovely branded. Oldest one is 34 years.
Scratched with marks, words and a lot of hope!Deck is made out of a typical german exercise bank used for 35 years in the our gym. We found tons of chewing gum under it….
Now the students have to go creative again.
After building this with available and free materials, they have to collect money for the furniture!
I am sure they’ll come up with something interesting… -
Recently changed the direction of my art for SaturdayTypeFever in the last 6 months, focussing more on Pointillism in its direction, but still the subjects being icons and incorprating typography, and managed to incorporate the new style into the two new shirts launched yesterday on Sonder Supplies. Pretty pleased with how they have turned out.

One of the pull on straps is busted in my clinch boots (partly damaged by previous owner, full on broken by me )
I just ordered some new cotton webbing in ecru instead of black, think I'll try my hand at replacing it. Some might think it foolish to go busting into my expensive boots and give myself a shot at sewing (no experience). I say it's foolish, but with purposeI'll get some pics up once the ribbon shows up
