IH-805 - 21oz Indigo Selvedge Denim Double Knee Overalls
-
Cross-posting some outtakes from one of my Hometown Heroes posts:
I wear pretty much a 33-34 in all my IH pants, and my 805's are a 34 and are perfect.
-
@popvulture I was going to weigh in with my opinion anyway. Based on what you've shared and your pictures posted with other IH gear, I think you should go with 34.
My 805's are 34. Note: I had two pairs in my possession at one time, 34 and 36, and elected to go with the 34 and moved the 36 along to another member. I am 6'0" tall and my weight fluctuates between 205-210 lbs. Due to larger than average thigh measurements, I am relegated to the 888 or 634 cut exclusively. Ignoring tag size for a moment, I typically need a 35" waist, > 13.3" thigh, and >9.25" knee to get a trim fit (not loose at all) on my IH jeans. I have 888 cuts in tag size 34 (3 pairs - trim fit), 35 (2 pairs - trim fit), and 36 (3 pairs - looser fit but not baggy at all).
All this to say, my 805s in 34 are my roomiest fitting IH bottoms, but not baggy or sloppy. I could have worn the 36, but they were obviously bigger and I simply liked the fit of the 34 better.
Regarding inseam length, I didn't find a discernible difference between the 34 or 36. As others have stated, it's really about how you adjust the shoulder straps. I am able to single cuff my 805 about 2-3".
Hope this helps.

@Bums_Fan YES, thank you so much, man — that is all hugely helpful. Really great fit on those.
This is steering me back to my original gut feeling that I need a 34. Alright I'm feelin' better

You are going to love them!

Having met @Bums_Fan IRL, I can say that his description of his fit is on point/he'd crush me in an arm wrestling match.
-
Sorry about the confusion before. But I could see the patch tag size in Daniel's avatar and I didn't remember that he lost weight.

Yeah I'm definitely feelin' the urge to work out a little
But seeing that I'm sorta smack right between y'all in terms of height/build and you both are comfortable in a 34, seems like the obv way for me to go.

@goosehd I like those on you, but I do see what you mean — really feels like a person can easily wear two different sizes in these, and it all comes down to whether you want them to be trimmer or a little looser.
Interesting stuff. This is never the case for me with jeans. Usually one size up or down means unwearable.

@popvulture Inseam is up to date on the chart, about 0.7" down on the last run
-
Shit. Alright, thanks man! That might be cutting it fine for me on length.
-
@popvulture if you DM me the tag size and desired length I will take a look for you

Yep! I should be all sorted on a pair with the right length thanks to Adam. Top-notch as always, y'all. Bracing for bibbage.

Boom, done. Gonna get a big, floppy hat and become a gardener. See y'all in the carrot patch
