Merz b Schwanen TR348BA Sweater

I think you’ll love it @Oaktavia
Since Mike isn’t here to tell you: if you like the fit, be careful with warm water and agitation. If you want to dial the fit in tighter, it will shrink readily.
Mine is boxier than most of my tees but I like it as is. And even though I don’t think they make much practical difference, the gusseted armpits are a nice touch.

@mclaincausey I ordered the XXL just to be on the safe side after reading about the shrinkage. I like looser shirts more than ever now but I think I could probably get away with shrinking it too if I need to.
-
I look forward to seeing it and hearing your thoughts!

@mclaincausey Franklin and Poe are fast shippers, the shirt is out for delivery today!

Fuck yeah dude! Wearing one of mine right now

This thing is beautiful and I love it! I want a few more for sure but do not see colors besides white online currently in XXL. Filthy raved about this brand and now I totally know why (though I knew he was clearly onto something). I love the color, weight, fit this thing has it all.

That’s the same color I bought after Mike gave me a black one. It’s a versatile color. Goes with the anniversary flannel, the 87, the Woody, black, blue, and duck. Stoked for you, looks great!

I also remember how much Mike talked about how good these tee’s were, so yesterday I went to the Berlin store and picked one up.
Mike was right— these things are really really nice.
I will be getting more for sure. -

@Oaktavia ---The cut that I bought is called 1950's. Its pretty lightweight and that is fine as spring and summer are fast approaching here.
I really wanted something in white too but the salesgirl told me I needed to wait another week till the restock hits.
These things are sweet!!
Only downside about white anything and my IH bottoms is the never ending crock--but that's how it goes. -
@Oaktavia good call! I’m going to slowly begin to replace my crap tee’s with more Merz ones in different weights/colors.
While I was at the store I couldn’t keep my hands off this green Merino wool long sleeve top that was there.
I’m coming back for that one later . -
@dinobarnesberlin it's nice to vamp up tshirts. I didn't think it mattered until I knew...

Filthy effect in full swing! I grabbed a 2S14 on his recommendation and he was interested to see how I like it. They’re beautiful tees, I’m keen to try other stuff from the brand.
I’d love a prewashed version. My L is a bit snug but the XL I tried was comically big. Might’ve shrunk to fit well, but then might’ve not.

I just put my 2S14s through a hot wash and hot dry bc I wanted them to shrink. Very happy with results. Shoulders came in nicely and pointy tips are mostly gone. Sleeves tightened up like I wanted. Lost some body length which is fine. Could’ve done with a touch more shrink in the chest but overall very happy.

Last week I had to return an item to MbS and asked them, if there will be a restock of the heavy/13,4oz 2S14 t-shirts in some new colors as I love the charcoal and the brick one I bought last year. They answered that there will be „two nice seasonal colors in the upcoming spring/summer collection“!

Had a bit of an "oh shit" moment with my 2S14, realising I'd accidentally put it in the dryer. Til now I've been pretty careful, only washing it at 30C and never drying it.
When I realised what I'd done, I immediately removed it from the dryer. It'd been in for 2 hours (with another load) and was still a little damp. Tried it on and it had shrunk up quite a lot, but only vertically. I spent a few minutes stretching it vertically and was pretty rough with it, then left it to hang dry. I assumed i'd probably ruined the shirt, size-wise at least, but happy to say that it's basically the same size as it was pre-tumble. Only the neck opening is a little stretched, but this is because I was pretty vigorous with the stretching, and I expect it'll go back to normal with a wash. It's good to know that these shirts are more robust to washing/drying than I thought - they seem to maintain their stretchiness. Hope to get some more in the future.
