you should try the Saphir care for cordovan/ horse leather.
It´s really good from my experience -
Will get some.

Love this combo!

@Mizmazzle thanks man! Love them

Girlfriend surprised me with these recently. Got 1 day in on them. Still working through the pass through issues in the shaft. Once I got them on they feel perfect inside no tightness etc... I've just got to work through the on and off stages of these bad boys. I am doing the plastic bag trick and thinner socks, with a boot horn, cant wait for the day they just slip right on.
How is everyone else getting their boots on? Recommendations are welcomed !

@Tyler-Durden that’s a hell nice gift dude! Enjoy them and never let her go
-
@Heavy_blue I definitely won't, she's great! She amazed everyone over at Standard & Strange with all her boot knowledge man. She's a keeper !

How have people sized M43’s compared to brannock or Nike running shoes? I’m wondering about the toe room of the shinkis
-
@Tyler-Durden They remain a pain even after years but it gets easier. I haven’t yet get to the slip-on stage.

@Tyler-Durden hey bro. Congrats on the boots and the rad lady!! Mine were never very hard to get on. Bit of a light tug and they pop on. That being said, after almost a year in them, I’ve felt no real change in how easy they are to get one. I just sort of grab the top of the upper and pull em on.
I have seen a YouTube video from the guy who makes Kreosote boots. He takes the wooden end of a hammer to rub against that “pass” area the heel gets hung up on. Kinda runs and stretches that area.
Not necessarily suggesting you do that. But if you get to the point of frustration, you have options. Sure a cobbler could help ya out too if you get to the point of throwing your hands up.

@Mizmazzle Yes, I've done the broom handle thing which helped I think, or I just won the fight that day. I'm sure with more wear I'll come to accept the process.

Quick update.
Second day out in my engineers, and noticeably easier to get on. Still some slight work but a huge difference from what I was expecting. Not the huge fight till the end this time. I was also fearing after I returned home, but easy to get off then too. I am happy to report I am no longer dreading putting my outfits together with these in mind.

@Tyler-Durden yeah dog!! Wear em often and they get better and better.
