@Mizmazzle how much snow/disruption does there need to be before you get the call?
Here in the UK, everyone loses their shit and civil society disbands after half an inch and a little ice on the road..

@T4920 Normally school would have been called after the first snowfall of Wednesday. Generally 6-7" or more is enough to call it off. It really depends on what time the storm hits often times as well. The sweet spot is when the snow dumps between midnight and 6 am and the roads haven't been properly cleared. The best is when they call the snow day the night before due to a solid prediction of heavy snow coming. Then you can really enjoy the night before as well. Generally they call it at around 5:30 am though and we get that sweet sweet ring of the phone announcing the cancelation.
Our district superintendent admitted he might have dropped the ball on not calling it earlier this time and I think a lot of parents have been complaining it wasn't called already.
My buddy works for another district and they called a snow day today. Lucky bastard is probably passed out on the couch right now or out building a snow man!

@Mizmazzle Result! Don’t drink so much that you can’t get up and enjoy your day off.

I think Simone Biles did one of those at the Olympics.

@Mizmazzle Nice,Good game on tonight if you have Amazon Prime. And what might you be drinking to celebrate this momentous occasion?
-
@Mister_Brue Good advice!! I want to take my hound hiking tomorrow in the fresh snow so I think I will listen to your words of wisdom...

@Mizmazzle I agree looks good in the glass, and the grain to glass is the new farm to table. Heaven Hill put out a series of grain to glass whiskeys this season, but I didn’t get any of them as they were very expensive. Enjoy!

@Mizmazzle Enjoy your snow evening / day. Snow pics look great.
