Week 13 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books and 13 would not turn out to be the unlucky week for @IrishHeart and @Mizmazzle. It started on Thursday Lions/Bears division rivals, the annual Thanksgiving game in the Motor City. Down to the wire,30 seconds left on the clock,Da Bears need a field goal to send it in to overtime, but the coach doesn’t call a timeout, they run out of time, the coach is now out of a job,but the most important thing is that IrishHeart picks up an unbelievable ninth straight win. On to Monday, the last game of the week. Mizmazzle knows that the Lions won and if The Broncos lose IrishHeart will be the Lone Survivor. The pressure is on,the socks are out,the bourbon is out,and it’s on. The Browns with nothing to play for fought tooth and nail, but it seemed like in the end the altitude got to Jameis Winston as he kept on throwing the ball to Denver’s defenders, who were only to happy to catch it and run the other way with it. I’m watching the game and it was tight, exciting, and depending on the outcome what was I going to write. Best case scenario as Mizmazzle also gets his ninth straight win,and the battle continues, both players with brilliant strategies head into Week 14,seeking their 10th straight win. I’m out of superlatives on how impressed we all are with how well you’ve both done. I told you this was going to be more exciting than the Tyson/Paul fight. Back to football on Thursday,Sunday and Monday. Signing off from Cranford,NJ. See ya next week.

The bar wasn't all that high to be honest. Love the write-ups, as a very casual follower of the NFL your pool and the excellent commentary actually make me follow the results more closely

Last night was a really fun game. Very concerning that the Donks let the Browns put up over 500 yards but what a shootout.
-
Riley Moss was out and that dude Wallace who was filling in was responsible for a lot of those yards given up. But over all our defense was getting beat left and right. Could have been the curse of the last game before a bye week…dudes were already on a beach somewhere in their minds.
-
@Mizmazzle yeah but even Surtain blew at least one coverage. It was wild.
-
@mclaincausey it’s true. Not a good performance on either side of the ball. I was def feeling the emotional highs and lows of that game. Haha. We got the W though and playoff chances are looking solid! Gotta beat Indy!! Both teams will be coming off a bye this week and hungry for a playoff spot. Should be a good one.
-
@Mizmazzle yup. Would love to end the season demolishing the Chiefs to get the postseason started on the right foot!
-
@mclaincausey That would be incredible. Have to wonder who the Chiefs would have starting in that game being the last of the season and having clinched the top seed more than likely.
Honestly, I'm really pulling for The Bills to pull ahead and force that final game to matter more to The Chiefs. If we beat them, I don't want any excuses for why...
-
@Mizmazzle the Chiefs are likely to prove me wrong but that record looks pretty fraudulent. We should have beaten them if not for missing a chip shot FG and they’ve struggled against teams like the 2-win Raiders and 3-win Panthers. I know the league wants the 3 peat, Mahomes GOAT narrative but they may finally be overcome this year.
-
@mclaincausey I totally agree that they have not played well this year. Their record def does not tell the true story. Most games have been close right up to the end with a few flukes thrown in for goo measure.
I want to play them in that final game with them having to try their best.
-
Plus I kinda like Josh and the Bills mafia. I’d love nothing more than the road to the SB to go through Buffalo in a snow globe.
If Detroit is able to clinch the top seed before the final regular season game it removes the Bills’ greatest obstacle to sweeping their remaining schedule.
-
@mclaincausey I feel exactly the same! I'd love to see the Broncos win the Super Bowl this year (hey, I dream big what can I say)
But in a more realistic world, I'm all on board for a Bills vs. Lions Super Bowl (I'd be happy with the Eagles too for Morgan's sake haha)The playoff are shaping up to be really fun!
-
I was going to post… What’s the Chiefs favorite fish?…Fluke! They’ve been eating lots of them this season. If you’re toe is on the line,if you miss the field goal, turn your head and miss the snap or don’t realize that they’ve overloaded one side before you attempt a field goal, they got you. If the NFL truly wanted the 3 peat why would they saddle them with the most difficult schedule and a useless early season bye. Having said that The Broncos still scare me the most.
-
@Mizmazzle You need to root for The Bills to beat Detroit in Detroit in a few weeks, because if The Chiefs end up with the same record as The Bills, then Buffalo wins the tiebreaker. Chiefs need to beat The Chargers this weekend for starters. No easy feat.
-
@Jett129 To be clear, I am not dissing the Chiefs. Quite the contrary really. They haven't been that magical, unstoppable offensive force this year like they have been in the past. But they still finds ways to win. I think that's a testament to the culture of winning that they've developed...and as a Broncos fan, that makes me sick!!!
I am most definitely rooting for the Bills, against the Chargers, Colts, and Dolphins! And of course as a point of eternal rivalry...against The Queefs!

Needing to get my teeth back into this game, really interested to know do people follow the team their favourite player play/played for and stick with it and/or other sentimental reasons.. My favourite player was Edelman so I previously followed the Patriots, but now looking for the 'forever' team. My initial feelings are the Bills, Bengals or 49ers, don't ask why as I don't 100% know..
