Stitching being undone on IH-634-XHS
-
@goosehd
damn bummer. has anything like this happened? was expecting ruggedness out of iron heart tbh:( -
@fakhri1304 the true ruggedness of Iron Heart is in their customer service. I’m confident they’ll get you all fixed up.

@fakhri1304 Things happen and I would chalk it up to a fluke and nothing more. There are a lot of us with many years and miles that this hasn’t happened to, but I do understand your concerns.
The guys at the IHUK shop will set it straight tomorrow and hopefully work out something to make everyone happy.

thanks for the reassurance guys!

It doesn’t really matter how rugged they are. Thread is thread and it comes undone sometimes, especially on the cuff fold area. This has happened to every pair I’ve owned, which is to say many. They’ll fix for you for free but you’ll have to pay for shipping which will be more expensive than taking it to your local tailor who will fix it for about $20.

@fakhri1304
I think Where you have cuffed them and it’s just rubbing on the inside where the right foot brushes up against the other foot.It’s happened to me on a pair I have cuffed and more recently my XHS that are uncuffed from rubbing on the top of my boots.
Mine are beat up but I haven’t got any holes .

@fakhri1304 I'm sorry to hear the seam/hem is becoming unstitched. As a few of the legends mentioned above, there is a fairly easy fix, which we can do for you. If you want to go to a local tailor, then by all means, I would just make sure they can work on 25oz denim. You can always email me at shop@ironheart.co.uk if you would like to send them in, and I can talk you through the process.
As much as Iron Heart is over-engineered and hardy, it is ultimately cotton at the end of the day, and at times, there will be moments like this when stitching might come apart or rub apart, which is a shame. I like to think of these as battle scars on the denim as it evolves, but I do understand it is annoying and I would look at getting this sorted sooner rather than later.
