Pushing me one step closer to getting one...
-
@T4920 looking absolutely glorious! But getting one gets more complicated by the minute...
-
@FlavourFade at least I know my sizing now! Less complicated in a way
Tight up top, so I'll take an XL over my usual L.
-
Perfect, now did you source one up for sale already?
-
@FlavourFade we didn’t. @doubletee brought his to a little meet up for drinks we did yesterday. We all tried his XL on.
-
@EdH awesome!! Trying to get my friends into this stuff for some time but no success yet
-
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot HAHAHAHA that being the only solution did cross my mind and I could see my wallet wept from across the room.
the buttons/cap can be replaced, it's the nipple part that it connects to, is what I'm worried about, if that cracks or break off. from what I understand, its not an easy fix..

@louisbosco The verdigris on those snaps is intensely cool looking. Sorry they keep failing. I can’t see why it would be difficult to just replace the snaps over and over no matter what part breaks, as long as the hole the snaps go through doesn’t get ripped or too enlarged. Have you ever set a snap yourself? Might be time to learn.
Great meetup, gents! Nice to see all your smiling faces together.
-
Something is definitely corroding in the snap, maybe a galvanic reaction thanks to the humidity and sweat. You could try cleaning the snaps with a few drops of alcohol, let it dry, followed by a minimal drop of something like obenaufs or another oil like flax, olive, sunflower, etc. Basically you want to get the salts and moisture out of there and keep it protected.

I had an unfortunate magic marker stain on my left forearm that I tried to resolve myself. Of course, it got worse. I sent it to Rago Brothers in NJ, who did a bang-up job on cleaning up the whole shirt. I'll post more pics when I get it back, but this is what they sent me.
Before...
... and after....

@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot Rad..
-
@Alex - what would be the price to pimp an entire pale rider? Asking for a friend... lol.
-
@indigostiff With Good Art?
-
@Alex yes, diameters accordingly.
-
@Alex Thank you! The Pale Rider is already in possession - it's just the snaps here - I appreciate your looking.
-
@Tobi Dude, your pics are so good! That shirt looks alive on you!! Spectacular!!

Some more shots with the much neglected Pale Rider. Procrastinating in the home office
Still struggling with slightly tight chest and shoulders, and effects on the upper snap. Also: my initial ill advised soaking adventure left the placket quite wavy, and the "hunch" on the back below the collar never fully settled.
Anyway.. still a beauty
