It’s so damn hot and sunny outside but I’m just gonna keep pretending it’s fall.

@GraemeE - love that record

Ooh love some BC

@popvulture bold Scott choice with climate of hunter
Also didn't see your post at first so I wasn't intentionally rubbing in the fact that the pacific northwest is cool and grey at the moment

@GraemeE it’s actually one of my faves of his. I’m a sucker for some 80s production. Granted sometimes it can be awful, but here it just works for me. Maybe I have an irrational love of fretless bass?
I was listening to a podcast recently and learned that apparently before he recorded this, he went out and bought all of the top ten records at the time because he had no idea what the musical zeitgeist was. Kinda amazing and hilarious.
-
@popvulture even though he tends to lose me after the mid 70s I wholeheartedly support his subsequent works.
I think maybe it was tilt? where he recorded someone slapping a side of beef to represent the execution of mussolini - glorious weirdness
-
@GraemeE oh yep that’s on the Drift! So wonderfully weird. I remember the first time I heard that record and having no idea what I was getting into. One of the few times I can remember finding music genuinely terrifying.

Continuing fall vibes
