Prevent the saggy butt with a big gut
-
Totally feel you. It was weird the first time I wore them too. Now I can’t get enough of them. I love my 634-UHR, but honestly wish they were 888 cut. Also cool note. The 888 have deeper pockets than the 634 and that makes a difference for me too. Maybe try and get a used pair in your size and see if you like the cut. Or if you have the ability to try on it might be worth it. I didn’t really have a butt for a while. Now that I’ve been consistently working out again. It also helps. But that’s another story. Definitely worth a shot for your body type

@wjw I worry about the 888 cut on you. If the front rise falls below the belly when you are moving the back with undoubtedly follow, and the sag will happen yet again. I wonder if any of the larger fellas on the IHUK staff have put some work in on 888's and can weigh in. The waist sits really high, you just don't see bigger guys wearing high waisted jeans much.
It's mostly slender fellas that look good with tucked in shirts (I do not). I have the 888 cut in XHS denim. I can make them work and I don't have a flat belly at all, but it doesn't hang either. maybe TTS 888's and rock suspenders if you want to give them a shot. or the elasticated belt could be a worthy option. https://www.kuhl.com/kuhl/other/bags-gear/arkive-belt/?color=Raven I have this Kuhl belt and it's awesome.

@jordanscollected I'm definitely not a tucked in shirt guy either. Just wondering if wearing on the belly would solve the sag, but totally know what you mean if the front doesn't stay put. I've been thinking about trying suspenders. Never had them, and got to figure out how to use them without the wife having to look at them haha. I did talk with @JoshC about sizing/cut, but just want to be as informed as possible. I don't have the luxury to try on in person.

I think from looking at your pics that you need a low rise jean like the 777 sized more generously so you can pull them up a little higher, and a belt to keep them in place. I agree with @jordanscollected. Something with a higher rise will just lead to more diaper butt, unless you get them in a huge size and belt over the gut, which probably wouldn’t be comfortable for other reasons.

@sabergirl yeah I was thinking if I were to go 888 I'd have to go to around a size 42 and belt up. I've never sized up in the waist measurement on pants in the fear of even more sag. (I do always wear a belt)

Don't worry sizing up with slimmer cuts. They usually have slimmer hip measurements also. I have an IH Pronto in the tapered cut closer to a 777 and tag 40 fits me fine. I cannot take tag 40 in the 634's or 888's. The waist and hip will be out of control.

@yannis what size do you normally wear?
-
I am roughly 5 foot and 11.5 inches around 240 pounds and in 634 I can wear tag 36 and tag 38 depends the look I am going for. In 888 I can only wear tag 38 as tag 36 is too tight around the knee. I cannot wear 666 the thigh is just too tight and I cannot go up 2 sizes but I can wear a 777 tag 40 that it has an actual waist size of around 39 inches. 555 is out of the question. It will look comical on me . I also love the 463 in tag 38 but it's not a core cut. Never tried the 1955's but I think they will fit. I generally like wide hems. I am not into narrow hems.

@yannis not too far off from me in height and weight. Thanks for your insight

One thing to consider is wearing boxers with heavy denim. It won’t necessarily help the sag, but at least you wont have to worry about your bare ass showing when you bend over.
-
@jdwaid luckily my sag stays above the crack haha

Here are pics, kind of more showing my body type, if that helps with more recommendations. Working on slimming down as I assume most big guys are. And no, I don't tuck in my shirts out in public

And probably a little extra poof in the pic from the tightly fastened belt
