Just breaking in my new 02-555's. I think I'm really going to love this cut, I was a bit worried about sizing slightly large, just a bit over TTS but I'm glad I did. Now the top block is a bit relaxed and doesn't have any unwanted tension in the crotch and the legs fit pretty much perfectly. Definitely going to be my new go to pair of IH jeans.

fit pix? I love this denim. Not sure if I can pull off this cut but I'm curious.

Hi I'm new here and have read this entire thread but am not sure if I have missed a new run. Will there be sizes available soon?
Thanks

Hi gernblasten and welcome. Yes, a re-stock of the 555-02 is due within next few weeks. Please complete the form if you want an email when they hit…

Forgot to take a pic the other day, but I snapped this little shitty one before leaving my place. This cut is really comfortable, especially taking into considering how stiff the denim is and how slim the cut is.
In my limited experience, you usually have to trade one for the other when it comes to heavy denim… either a nice slim cut that nearly kills you to break in or a relaxed fit that's more comfortable but not as "nice" of a cut. These jeans are a 33 and I could have easily sized down to a 32, but I'm happy with what I got. I'm 6', around 170lb and these were hemmed to a 34.5" pre-soak. Honestly, I'd say there my favorite IH cut to date. I'm probably going to invest in the 555-01's at some point just to have the 21oz in the same cut.
Edit: one thing I can wait to see settle down is the "crotch bulge" that you can kinda see in this photo. Sorta looks like I'm always a little excited if I don't adjust the material every once in a while lol. -

Jeans look great, can't say I noticed the bulge, maybe you could do a close-up pic?
(sorry, sorry - getting as bad as G :-[) [/i]

This cut has appeal to me as a"sneaker” jean, but I don't know if I can pull of the thigh measurement and the taper from thigh to knee. Is there someone out there who owns a size 36 waist and can give me some real life measurements for the thigh and knee (measured the Iron Heart way) after a soak and some wear? Any help is much appreciated.

Hy
Im new here… sorry for my bad english
I want to buy my first iron hearts... 555-02, should i downsize one or two for a really skinny fit?
How much will they stretch after a soak? Is a soak needed or not, before wear?
Thx for your help,
LucaIf you read the first post, you'll get most of your questions answered.
and seriously? sizing down 2!?
are you a girl?

These are raw unsanforised so a first soak is recommend to bed the fabric in. Overall shrinkage after machine wash/soak with agitation is around 4% horizontally and vertically in the 18oz and more difficult to stretch out than the signature sanforised 21oz.
I dont own these but had the 666s and still have the 634sv in 18oz raw.
If you manage your thighs post wash, sizing down in these 555 may work depending on thighs but again 18oz is harder.Measure your best fitting pair and compare it with those in here.
Hope this helps a bitAnd welcome around, first iron heart piece is always special.
