IH-555-03 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Superblack (Fades To Grey)
-
I got a new phone here’s a closer pic. My other phone was doing my head in it would auto scroll and made looking through the forum hell. -
Threw mine in the machine for the first time at 30 degrees, no spin. Had 2 previous hand washes in the tub previous to this. Disappointed in the outcome if I’m honest, none of that marbling was there before the wash. Hoping that it evens out as they age further. -
did you soak before putting in the machine?
turn inside out ? -
Exactly what @Daniel-San said.. 03 or sbg is very very sensitive when it comes to the marble effect

turn inside out ?Washed inside out, but didn't soak them first. Screwed up there obviously
-
@Ally74 just wear them! With a lot of wear the marble effect will blend into your fades

I will. Though these will inevitably now drop to the bottom of my rotation list. Anyways, I've a brand new pair of 555 XHS to concentrate on ...
-
@Ally74 They look great, bru! Wear the hell out of them - mine are even more comfortable after the wash. Be great to see these puppies fade completely… to black? Haha.. and best of luck with your new pair!!
-
Hi @Ally74 , I also use to soak black denim (just get it completely wet) direktly before putting it into the washer. This way it came out without streaks and marbeling even at 40°C...however, as the other folks said. This will even out anyway during future wear.
@denim-dawg they look sick. How long did you wear them? -
Some office shots, I took yesterday:
-
@beef_bonanza Thank you! They’ve had one soak, then probably about 200 days or so... They were by far my preferred jeans these past two years. And now this soak n wash. Black denim is so versatile, and I dig the way they go more gray the more they’re used. It’s so much fun with IH! All my other denims have broken to pieces hahaha
-
@beef_bonanza This is why it’s addictive haha
-
@denim-dawg Respect. You really gave them hell in only 200 days! I also enjoy the process towards grey so much. Unlike any other black denim fabric I know. Not talking about that it became super comfy
-
@beef_bonanza respect sir--those fades are inspirational!!
-
I’m not a huge fan of black/black denim when new, but I LOVE this fabric when fades. Luckily for me it fades pretty quickly. Some inspiring examples above @beef_bonanza @denim-dawg . Cannot wait for my pair to look like yours.
-
@beef_bonanza hahaha.. thank you. Life in the Arctic is hard.. haha. I haven’t counted but probably used them 3-4 times every week. Such a brilliant pair of clothing. Agree with you - black and then fades is irresistible Yours look epic!!! Best wishes
-
@jerkules Good luck!! I’m super super happy with them. And they are really comfy. I liked them from day one.
-
@Ally74 I don’t soak mine just put the in dry it’s the spin cycle that does this usually. Just wear them hard and it will even out.
-
These jeans are so nice to wear.
-
@Gammaman those are faded pretty awesome
