That bike is amazing @motojobobo –- won't he let you take it for a spin?

I'm not a motorcycle guy by any means, but that's a great looking machine.
-
@motojobobo That is a beautiful bike! Thank you very much for sharing.

Nice bike @motojobobo
Did you watch the MotoGP?
What an awesome race… the ducs did well and Martin leading and getting a podium on
His second MotoGP start.. wow! -
Thanks guys, that bike is very nicely restored and he rarely uses it…we share the same interest in bikes but he has a strong collector focus while I just like to ride them! I’m expecting to get a chance to ride it later this year. I’ll post pics again.
The motogp races were excellent today. A 1-2 finish by french riders Quartararo (Yamaha) and Zarco (Ducati) was a huge surprise result. We mostly get spanish and italian riders dominating the series so it is a nice gust of fresh air that today we got a british (moto2) and french (motogp) winners.
Season is off to a roaring start!!

Congratulations. WOW,You’re not messing around. I rode a Fat Boy with that engine and it was a rocket ship. Can’t wait to hear how you like it!
Funny, the pre-purchase inspector had roughly the same take. He called it a rocket on 2 wheels. In all honesty, I had some reservations, at first. But, I know myself pretty well. If I had settled for something less than what I wanted, I'd be wanting to trade up, in no time. I put some miles on, this evening. The only thing that took a bit of getting used to is the forward controls. When taking off from a stop, I kept trying to tuck my feet up under me. Repetitive motion ought to completely cure that. I guess, that means I'll just have to ride more…

Have fun and a safe ride @scooter!

This is Moto Guzzi’s centenary and among celebratory new bike livery and bigger parties, they are offering a 4-week tour from Italy-Norway (Nordkapp) and back. About 8000 km. I’m very interested in doing it and wondering whether that would resonate with any of my IH motorcyclist buddies. Between two (or more) of us we could take better pics of our IH gear every day and post here!
More info here…

It is expensive, 8000 euros. Not sure how close to @neph93 ’s place it’d take us; it’d be nice to have a beer with him. Let me know if anyone is interested. I’d have to soon make up my mind as travelling with my passport requires visas EVERYWHERE…

You arrive in my town (Bodø) on day 7 and take the ferry to Lofoten the next day! If you do it I’d drive down to Mosjøen (destination on day 6) to meet you and follow you up to Bodø (maybe over to Lofoten too [emoji1])
I’ve driven most of the roads you will ride. Day 2 will take you through Stordal on the way to Trollstigen, and I holiday there most years. I can guarantee you it will be an incredible trip.

Thanks for your feedback and wonderful offer to meet up @neph93 , that is really nice.
Good to hear you approve of that part of the route. The fjords is what I’d be strongly looking forward to seeing. We have something similar to fjords in southern Chile but no scenic roads to enjoy them from a bike, so I’ve only seen them from a boat; very beautiful too.
I’d like to find a mate for this trip so I’ll scout around a bit more before committing to it. I’ll get back to you on my progress.

Finally back in the saddle… only took 8 years for the Residential Commander to give me the green light again.
At my friend's house stopping on the way home after picking it up. Wearing IH-888S-OD and IHT-1600-BLK under the jacket.

Such a good looking bike there @Manticore ! She’ll make the long wait worth it.
