Thrift Store Scores

@meatmarketdenim1 thanks bud
I don't always find cool stuff but even if I find nothing it's a great way to de-stress for a bit in the middle of a work day.
Typically I just put my buds in my ears and dig - although when I do hit the jackpot on 1 or 2 things i have a specific album that I always switch to - D'Angelo/Voodoo
-
@GraemeE damn duder - your Goodwill appears to be pretty special
-
@Inorganic technically if we are going by where our homes actually are in town this goodwill that I've found alot my stuff the last couple years is actually closer to your turf.
Broadway near Lloyd center
-
@GraemeE ah the one across from 5guys. I’ve actually never been in that one. Good to know, though I seldom go into Goodwill I mostly hit up the flea market (and the St Johns one is on its last days there are some shenanigans in the Eagles Lodge world and apparently the national chapter sold a few PDX buildings without the local’s consent)

They grow up so fast.
I know you're being funny but yeah. They do.

The great eagle war of '24/'25 seems imminent - I'll keep my eyes open
-
@GraemeE haha nice one!!
-
@GraemeE duuuuude
-
Facebook marketplace counts right? It’s like a digital thrift store that you can pick through from the comfort of your couch. I scored this late ‘70s Snap On top tool box for $30….i could barely believe my eyes when I saw the ad. Guess I gotta find a lower box now!
-
@Inorganic it absolutely counts and that thing is rad
Tool box fades
Can only imagine what that setup has seen over the years
-
@GraemeE right!! That tool box red, nothing quite like it. Maybe 8yrs ago I scored this tool box - Mac Tools also from the 70’s. I bought it from a mink farmer on the Oregon coast. It was full of tools, but stank like shit from it being covered in mink oil. Worth it though

I'd imagine most of the world thinks this type of thing is fairly commonplace living in the Pacific Northwest and I'm OK with that
-
@GraemeE I find that the Oregon coast is like that mosquito in Jurassic Park, frozen in amber. Coasties are their own breed of people. I frequent Garibaldi and that place is interesting, special, gnarly, beautiful, raw. Sidenote: their liquor store is a hidden gem, if you’re looking for top shelf they prolly have it & it’s probably dusty.

@Inorganic $30 is craaaaazy
-
@flannel-slut I know!!!! My heart was pumping lolol
