^^^^Decided to keep this piece of armour instead of giving it away. I fixed the "snag" in the canvas, which was shockingly simple with a needle and a piece of thread. Love it when things work out sometimes.
Found this video to describe what I did. I used "method 2" using a needle and a loop of thread to pull the snag back through the fabric. Funnily enough, this fabric is so thick that the snag has totally disappeared within its thickness. There is nothing on either side of the fabric. In the video, when he pulls the snag through to the other side, the snag is then visible on the inside of the shirt. With the 100, it's just gone and both sides are perfectly smooth. Love it.
