The Evolution of Iron Heart

@Yoprst No boot camp .
No Secrets .. just up @4.45am and don’t get in the house till 7.30pm 5 days a week.Sounds like you’re in the right job I don’t come into contact with any materials I wouldn’t say just excessive movements.. we don’t even stop for break eat while we work.
Here’s a few other examples:
IHSH-292-IND CPO
93 days of wear
IHSH-293-OD
131 days of wear
IH526L
344 days of wear
I’ll have to take some pictures of my IH526L OD
Just over 100 days in that .. -
@Jcaz6996 carpenter fades for the win
-
@Jcaz6996 do you wear your shirts under a denim jacket when working? If so I bet the outer face of the shirt material abrading against the inside of the jacket really speeds things up…
I personally find it hard doubling up the denim on my top half, so kudos if you manage to do such a physical job wearing 2 layers of heavy demim

777s-21 coming along nicely. Sadly a bit to big in the waist now but for working in the garden etc these are fantastic -
Wanted to share some thoughts about my 777s-21od inspires by @T4920 and his post about his overdyed denim.
When I compare these to my 526lod they fade a lot slower and with a lot less contrast. Offcourse it's jacket vs jeans but I wear the 777 mostly for work all day, doing 10-15000 steps everyday and sweating, kneeling, carrying stuff etc. But still feels behind the lefty.
My 526 I wear mostly for walks or to get to work, never for heavier stuff since I can't wear it over the shirts my employer gives us.
The lefty is a lot more rigid what explains the higher contrast while the 777 feels as soft as sweatpants almost from the beginning so there is not that much tension to create sharp fades.
I have worn the 21od now for 55 days without wash or soak and plan to at least get to 100 wears before I start introducing them to some water.
I hope that the little spots and marks where you can already see some indigo will evolve a lot more and are very comitted to this pair of denim.
For these who care about sentimental stuff, I bought this pair in january because my uncle died of cancer at the age of 55 on christmas day and I had not one pair of black pants or denim to wear to the funeral. So I ordered them on short notice and had something to feel good about after days of being a little lost.

@FlavourFade haven't had my hands on 21oz OD in person, but yours look so buttery soft!
Overdyed stuff never really spoke to me when I looked at product photos, but having experienced it in person, I'm a fan for life.
Next pair of OD will be 21oz for sure, but not for a while, need to try XHSib first!
-
XHSib is crazy cool and totally different! You will love both.
-
some pocket fades , 21oz lefty and 22oz
@Denman-John , here you can see how thick the wallet is when new.
-
@Daniel-San very cool!
-
@T4920 great write up and i agree with you the od lefty fades quite fast for a od piece!
-
@Daniel-San whoo doggie!! That wallet with those faded jeans looks stellar!!
-
@Daniel-San Fills the back pocket perfectly! How does it feel when you are sitting down on it? It’s such a beautiful wallet and your photography is on point.
-
Those wallets look so killer. I've probably got quite a long time left with my Wild Child, but the next time I need a new one, I'm probably gonna go with one of the IH. The problem will be choosing a color...
-
@Denman-John it’s some getting used to ar first cause like everything at IH it’s overengineerd so extra sturdy i have several other wallets and these one is a beast
-
@Denman-John
sorry for the late answer mate
Even it’s so thick it works surprisingly good to sit with this thick wallet. Maybe not for such a long time but it’s possible
