IH-666Sod - Devil's Fit Overdyed - Super Slim Tapered
-
I went through the same thing, I think you should stick with it. They will always be tight but the waist will get to 34 eventually, 2 mos at most as long as you're wearing them every day. It's worth it. I would have sized up 35 but I think 36 would have been too much and I'm not a slim guy. I'm about 5'10", 175lb. Take a picture and let us see what you've got going on.

seems like a similar case to mine. got a W34 and they measured 32" as well. could only button till the 3rd while the last button seems so far from it. i wondered to myself "I couldn't even button the top button (which IMHO is crucial in stretching the waist) so how the feck can I even stretch it?!"
to sum it up, I sold it off at a huge loss of USD170 for a literally brand new pair. the mate who got it eventually tried to sell it at USD200 after he couldn't fit in too.

IMO, 1 to 1.5" stretch on a sanforized +overdyed is sooo doable.
you just need patience & basic stretching technique.'just posted this @SuFu quite recently. dampen top block & gradually stretch out the waistband, ie, by stepping onto 1 end & pulling on the other end. once able to get the amount of stretch needed, button up, & shove a stick or hanger [ie, that measures to your actual "wearing" waist] against the waistband til jeans fully dry.
keep the routine each time you soak/wash until the denim stabilizes. the purpose of this exercise is to "break" waistband by tempering/conditioning.

^ but would the jeans shrink back after wash? do we have to do it everytime we wash the jeans? im just curious…
-
that's why you keep the waistband braced w/hanger until the denim stabilized.
nevertheless, i wouldnt say [absolutely] not, but i did use the routine on a few pairs i got [Samurai 5000ai-sp, Momo 701, FC 1108c]. in my personal experience, the denim stabilized @around 4th wash. after the "training stick" was off, the waist would shrink a bit after wash [like normal], but stretches back out in a jiffy
…. also, i'm currently doing it on my sized-down IH634s-OD, Sam Blue Shadow, & Momo 702

Interesting BrownIcon, now if only I could do this with the thighs of certain pairs!
-
Try this…
Slightly dampen the front of the waist in warm water while slightly dampening the rear of the waist in cold water, then hang them upside down in a cedar closet for 27 hours, then iron the hems with an iron filled with vinegar instead of water since vinegar steam is a natural slackener, then put them on a blow up sex doll and alternately inflate/deflate with helium for 7 hours, then tie 3 beltloops to one horse while the legs are tied to another and let them play tug of war (note: horses should be smallish lest you risk tearing the jeans).
Or you could just wear them until they fit. Call me crazy.

inseam, you stretch by pulling while damp.
thighs, 'afraid not cuz weave is at different direction [ie, different axis]… but, you can get about 0.5" stretch normally just from wear. -

Thanks, my job is weather driven and the weather here has been miserable lately. Things are slowing down now and honestly, my ODs as well as my BBs have just started to get good. They make me sorry I washed my 25oz at 6 months. I should have let them cruise into the stinky hall of fame.

Seul I see that happening to a lot of peoples jeans. Is that due to a lack of water or is it almost guaranteed to happen regardless with real heavy denim?
