-
Hiiii guys !!! I have never bought a IH bottom and the Bib fever caught me few months ago, i have read this topic a lot since then, now that all sizes are available i am really considering the measurements and i have to admit i am totally lost in numbers I should go for a 34 tag in most IH denim cause 87cm in waist is good for me, the waist measurements for this bib is 99cm size 34 which is huuuuge, even the size 32 is 95cm and its 8cm more than my waist, if i follow everybody's advices here i should be a tag 34 in denim so i should go for a tag 34 in bib BUT the model johnny is bigger than me in waist and he is wearing a 32…... Do you know what size Johnny is wearing in denim ? should i stick with a tag 32 = 8cm more in waist than my normal waist or a tag 34 = 12cm more .... It looks enormous just reading myself Sorry everybody you are repeating the same advices since 52 pages here and still going

my feedback is: I wear 36 IH jean but like a slim fit, but not tight. What I would consider a "modern adult fit." I sized down to a 34 in my overalls and they fit really well around the waist, upper thighs. I do think they are a little large at the leg opening, but that's my personal preference. I would say they are pretty true to a straight cut.
tl;dr you could go 32 and be a lil slimmer (but probably roomier than most normal cuts these days), which will likely be just as comfy. or go "true to size" and have even more room to play in.

Raisinoux, I probably can't lend any additional advice over what I did earlier in the thread. I did find it helpful to be able to try on two different sizes in real life. I am sure you have thought of this, but you could do the same. Pick up two different sizes and return the one you don't want. I know it is a big initial exchange of money, but for the relatively low cost of return shipping it could give you peace of mind you are looking for.

In my opinion you should choose size 32.
8 cm more will make them really comfortable to wear.
I normally have size 31 in IH jeans which is around 80-81 cm waist. I ordered size 30, which has a waist of 87,6 cm . -
My perfect flat waist for jeans is about 17", more or less. My 805's are about 19.5" and fit great. I could go a little under or a little over and they'd still fit great. Just the nature of being overalls gives you a lot of wiggle room in sizing.

Thank you all for your advices, my thighs are not very big so i guess i could fit every sizes starting with the smallest size 30, that's why i am trying to figure out which size is the good for me focusing on the waist rather than the thighs ^^ I will give it a try with the size 32 and just return it for a 34 if it's too small, will order it end of the month, fingers crossed for a nice fit and a proud newcomer in the Brotherhood ^^

UPS says my overalls will be here Friday wooooo!
I read through most of the comments on this thread and see most of the dudes here who are 6 feet plus wear size 34 so I'm hoping they are good for me.
As I stated before, my 12oz hickory bibs are 34 and fit pretty well. They were hemmed super short though (ebay) so I'm looking forward to a fat cuff ideally…
-
At 6'6", I've found that the tagged 34" is great (although I do like a cuffed leg that sits midway up a boot or at the top). The flexibility rly comes from those straps and adjusting those a bunch which I'm sure is the case with the ones you've got already, @Oaktavia. Stoked for those pics dude and glad that they're arriving just in time for the weekend!!!

I asked them to look for a pair of 34s that were a little longer, and they were able to snag a pair of 34.5 inseam for me, but I will say that having worn them now, the stock measurements on the chart would've been just fine. I have a pretty fat double cuff going on (and like @henry_david I also like to have em up a bit high and show a good bit of boot), and could've totally gotten away with less length.
My only gripe (and it's not even that, more just a comment) is that for tall/lanky people like me, I could've probably gone for a little more length in the body, say between the bottom of the rise and the top of the bib. In a perfect world I'd like to be able to crank the straps down a bit more so that more of my chest is covered, but like I said, not a complaint. I do know that I would've been absolutely swimming in a pair of 36s, so I'm very glad I didn't size up.

@popvulture – This gripe of yours is actually why I don't wear mine as much as I'd like to. The bib sits sorta low on my chest in order to ensure … adequate spacing down below If I had a bit more to me, the 36 woulda been a no-brainer but I would have also been swimming in mine.

I have a similar issue with my hickory ones…I'm 6" 3' and mostly torso so the "bib" part would look better if the metal claps sat higher. Like above my chest a bit more. I kept that in mind when searching through photos and I see that is the case for some folks on here too. Must just be the way the pattern is cut. I'll see if my pair is the same or not Friday and report back...
