IH-805 - 21oz Indigo Selvedge Denim Double Knee Overalls

I asked them to look for a pair of 34s that were a little longer, and they were able to snag a pair of 34.5 inseam for me, but I will say that having worn them now, the stock measurements on the chart would've been just fine. I have a pretty fat double cuff going on (and like @henry_david I also like to have em up a bit high and show a good bit of boot), and could've totally gotten away with less length.
My only gripe (and it's not even that, more just a comment) is that for tall/lanky people like me, I could've probably gone for a little more length in the body, say between the bottom of the rise and the top of the bib. In a perfect world I'd like to be able to crank the straps down a bit more so that more of my chest is covered, but like I said, not a complaint. I do know that I would've been absolutely swimming in a pair of 36s, so I'm very glad I didn't size up.

@popvulture – This gripe of yours is actually why I don't wear mine as much as I'd like to. The bib sits sorta low on my chest in order to ensure … adequate spacing down below If I had a bit more to me, the 36 woulda been a no-brainer but I would have also been swimming in mine.

I have a similar issue with my hickory ones…I'm 6" 3' and mostly torso so the "bib" part would look better if the metal claps sat higher. Like above my chest a bit more. I kept that in mind when searching through photos and I see that is the case for some folks on here too. Must just be the way the pattern is cut. I'll see if my pair is the same or not Friday and report back...

Haha yes…same with my hickory bibs. Totally same with me haha.

Yeah I think it's just the way they fit — if you look at the pics of Johnny on the retail site, his are pretty fitted (i.e. no sagging) and the bib is still pretty my right at his nips. That's where mine are too — I even have mine cranked to the point of being a tiny bit snug in the crotch in the hopes that they'll stretch a little. Seems to be working so far, I think.
I think they look fine as is, but as a general suggestion for the design, I think it'd be a good thing to lengthen that distance from bottom of rise to top of bib a good 2".

mine did not arrive today
another day waiting…. -
@popvulture must be the way they are and I would agree 2" would be great. My carhartt bibs come high up to a nice length in the chest area.
@Daniel San dangit! I hate it when that happens. More often than we would ever want it to.

I personally like where the bib sits. I have spent the last 15 years wearing bibs of some kind, whether it is nylon rain pants at my old job or Walls or IH… A super high front feels confining especially when you're working.
For example look how high my Walls are on me when I sit down. I don't like that.
IH when I sit down is great. I'm pointing to my nipple by the way.

I'm mostly here for the Mickey Ds @Filthy

I think that's probably due to gentrification… I go to the beer distributor and get mine. Any beer distributor should be able to get you a case. They are $24 with tax where I go.

I have a really long torso. The bib part doesn't even come up to my nipples, it sits 1.5-2" below them. And that's with the straps adjusted as tight as possible without being too uncomfortable in the crotch.

Eagle has landed 🥳

@jskidder good to know. I'm super curious where mine will fall.

A bit stretch and maybe 2-3 kg less than it is 100% perfect
