Hand made hemp hats from Don't Smoke my Hat!

I wanted to share about my new hat I got, because I love it. The hand-made construction is beastly and flawless, and the hemp (once you break it in) is super soft, and shiny. The material is not itchy or your forehead or scalp at all. The hats are heavy and thick, but because of the open construction can be worn year round. The hat like I got was a mere $50 shipped. It is definitely worth the money for such a high quality comfy hat.
You can get one for yourself here: https://dontsmokemyhat.com/product/midweight-xtra-long-hemp-beanie/
If you're unsure about the size, just grab a string or a measuring tape and measure around the circumstance of your head about an inch above your eyebrows. If you're near a half increment of an inch… size down because the knit is stretchy. They take about 2 weeks to get from order to your door.

I recently bought what was supposed to be an indigo dyed hat I saw in an article from Heddles from a place called Curious Corners. After being extremely disappointed with both the shade of indigo and the quality of the hat I was inspired to get another hat made by my friends at dontsmokemyhat.com
I was most pleased with the hat they made me this time around. The yarns are heavy and shiny, and the color of blue is pretty awesome like indigo, almost purple. I'm blown away with how perfectly constructed the hat is… every stitch is flawless and the quality for $45 is super awesome. The hat is very heavy and the hemp has this awesome sheen to the fibers like a pair of IH 21oz jeans do. The hemp is quite rough at first but get so soft after about a month's wear.
Like I said before the hemp yarn they use falls into the ultra heavy category. I have a "midweight" hat they made me and it is too heavy for me. So I go with the single knit/crochet "Lightweight beanie" here, if you want to get one: https://dontsmokemyhat.com/product/extra-long-hemp-beanie/
And I get them to add an extra 2 inches to the length for an extra wide fold up, so it essentially is doubly thick except for the very top of my head. I'd size this down one inch from your head measurement because the hats stretch a lot horizontally. You can see how nice the construction is.
The new blue one is on top, and my old black one is below. I put it on top of my hoodie for a color comparison. I have some pre-mixed-reduced indigo dye that I got to over dye my old IH thermal, so I might over dye this too so the indigo color is off the charts..
Hat rating is a 10/10. Best beanies I have ever seen or owned. They are perfect.
Edit: I forgot to mention my color choice was Colorado Blue.

Yeah mon, it's totally worth it. I have 4 hats from them and they are awesome. Be sure to read the sizing FAQ on the site because the hats stretch quite a bit. The one from 2 years ago is almost too big. So consider sizing down if you plan on wearing it every day like I do. @UnTucked
