Thanks Paula! As much as I am enjoying my overalls, I can't wait to get a pair of these!

I'm surprised that these weren't more popular. The fit is really great. Much like the 666 XHS Devil's fit. Kind of snug but not too tight. The 21oz denim is a very deep indigo and is super soft straight out of the bag. The batch seems like it has extra nep. It's very chunky. It's hand is ultra soft Especially on the inside.
If you're on the fence about these. I'd just buy them. They are awesome. The only thing is. If you're going for super-contrasty honeycombs… Mist the back of your knees until they are very damp... before your first wear and wear them until they dry. Mist them before each wear for the first few days. And you're certain to get some super crisp combs.
I'm very happy I bought them. I love my 21 oz overalls that are very similar to these. But these will give them a much deserved rest. Thank you very much for these! I absolutely love them.

There's no selvedge on these in the legs. But even more impressive, I think, is the cool outside (serging?) stitch that runs up the outmost edge of the felled seam. It's a very cool touch. The felled seams on these are no small feat either. They are close to a quarter inch thick in places. I'm sure that it took a great degree of skill to sew these jeans.
-
I don't think I can pull them off but they look really amazing. I cant imagine the sewing team being thrilled to sew this pant. I know the 25 ounce denim makes needles explode, I wonder if this does the same:

If you really like them, who cares if you can "pull them off" or not? They are definitely amazing. They are pretty low rise and the zipper is very short. The top block is just right, they are sort of snug at the knee. But not uncomfortable. The leg opening is perfect too. It's wide enough to go over a boot. But still narrow enough to stack well and doesn't go over the back of my shoes. The fit is a lot more modern than a typical 'work pant'.
I think the 21 oz denim is the perfect weight. I spent 2 years in nothing but 25 oz denim. But I've grown quite fond of the 21 oz denim now. It's still heavy, but is a lot more comfortable. And the ascetics of the sewing are a lot finer.
One more thing that's really well made about them is how the pocket bags are sewn into them. A couple pairs of my Iron Heart jeans have the pocket bags sewn outside of the rolled over pocket opening. Or some seam tape sewn over the opening. But these have the denim sewn over the pocket bag. These are definitely built very well.

@Filthy25ozJunkie You have any fit pics or evo pics? Just got the 821 and am REALLY interested in this beautiful work pant as well. Thanks
-
@Jordonf9 I'm at work right now but I'll see what I can get for you later. Have a nice day.
-
@Jordonf9 here's some evo pics. Not much evo yet, other than the textural evolution (softening of the denim). They are super soft after about maybe 20 days wear. No soaks or washes. I hit the back of the knees with a spray bottle to set in the creases and wore them damp on the first wear… really sets in those combs.
The Iron Heart 21 oz denim is every bit as luxurious, and soft, and pretty as you'd expect a pair of high-end jeans to be. They are absolutely sublime. I put them next to a pair of 21 oz overalls of the same denim so you can get an idea of fading potential. My advice is just buy them if you like them. They are awesome. I will get fit pics as soon as possible. i worked a 14 hour shift today and it was dark after work.

Thanks a lot @Filthy25ozJunkie ! Of all the fabric I still have yet to have the original 21oz IH denim. Got the Overdyed 21oz which is a BEAUTY and I think they should do in a logger as well.
I love the 821 as the stitching isn't contrasting, the 822 you can obviously see there is a double knee going on and with the work I normally do, doesn't go together haha.
By chance did you give them a hot soak to get a little shrinkage? Thanks again
-
I did not soak. This denim is sanforized and won't shrink. At least I don't think. You're welcome.
-
Thanks Giles.
@Jordonf9 here's a fit pic. My buddy said he took another but there's nothing there. Sorry.
-
@Jordonf9 idk if these help at all. The lighting is shit.
-
Thanks filthy! Fit you well and seem to have shorter inseam than I. I'll have to wait a little on these as I just dropped a lot on the Wesco walking boots from Giles ha-ha.
Wish the engineers had about .5 less in hem for myself. I have to send railcar an email to beer if they can taper. Don't now how that would go with triple chain stitching. These engineers are beef and built to last!
@Filthy25ozJunkie you don't by chance have any 21 overdyed jeans do you? If so, how do they compare to the regular 21oz in terms of breathing/weave? I would guess hard to tell, but figured I'd ask.
-
^ I have no idea. It is probably identical.
-
Looks like I'll be using a water bottle like you did next week
