IH-777-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Tapered Jeans - Indigo
-
Hi guys!
Can you please help me with sizing. Unfortunately I cannot try jeans in real shop.
I usually use this size 33 Levis, Nudie, noname, etcBut if I am trying to chose something similarI found this :
IH-777-XHS - 25oz______ Mine size (Levis, Nudie)
Tag Size 36______________ Tag Size 33
Waist 93.0 ______________ 96
Front Rise 28.2 _________ 28
Rear Rise 39.1 __________ 34
Thigh 34.0 ______________ 33
Knee 22.4 _______________ 23
Hem 21.1 _______________ 20
Inseam 92.7 _____________ 81And there is a disclamer:
"Sanforized, but unwashed - expect approximately one inch shrinkage in the waist and inseam"Is it possible that I need size 36, three sizes up than Levis or Nudies?
And after srinkage it will be 90 cm. So I might need size... 37? -

Hey @JeansCat
Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but sizing can change between runs so its really best to wait for the new bath to arrive, be measured and then we can work of the current size chart of the stock.
You want to make sure you are measuring the waist of something that fits well in the waist using the specific method outlined in our how we measure video so we are comparing apples to apples. Measuring other ways, especially flat on their back pockets will often give a measurement several inches smaller due to the difference between the front and the rear rise,
The XHS denim will shrink approximately 1" with wear but what we write in the bulliet point underneath on the product page is that it will stretch back out approximatly 1" to pre-wash sizing with wear so ideally you want to choose a tag size that has an actual waist closest to the measurement you are getting from a pair that fits well, of course adjusting if the pair you have measured is too small or big in the waist etc.
That really should get you going and drop an email to shop@ironheart.co.uk to have direct contact with one of my customer service crew.

Thanks for a quick answers!
Yes, I have done all the measurements as shown in the video. Sorry, I probably didn't explain it properly.
Here are the measurement results: the left column shows the 777 model in cm, and the right column contains the measurements of my jeans.
IH-777-XHS - 25oz______ Mine measures (Levis and Nudie)
Tag Size 36______________ Tag Size 33
Waist 93.0 ______________ 96
Front Rise 28.2 _________ 28
Rear Rise 39.1 __________ 34
Thigh 34.0 ______________ 33
Knee 22.4 _______________ 23
Hem 21.1 _______________ 20
Inseam 92.7 _____________ 81But I really surprised that the closest size to mine is 36, is this possible?
And do you know, when there will be another batch of 777?

Thank you @Tago-Mago I was just circling back for that. Cheers for having my back!

Entirely possible. IH does not do vanity sizing as others do.
The measurements don't lie... -
With Iron Heart being Japanese, it is very common to need a different size from EU and USA brands so please do trust the measurements.
96cm sounds very large for a tag 33 - i would potentially send over a photo of measuring to shop@ironheart.co.uk so the team can take a look to make sure we are on the same page.
If a 777-XHS tag 36 starts at 93cm it is going to shrink to 90.5" cm and then with wear stretch back out to 93cm so a little bit away from 96cm
We are on track for more 777-XHS in hopefully the next month or two if no unforeseen delays occur
If you click on this
(for desktop) or (for mobile), you will be able to view a video of how to request an email alert when we get a restock of an item. Please note that not all products will be re-run, so if the product says "sorry - No restocks of this product" in the "add to cart box," then you will not be able to request a restock. -
@tody Wow, I did know that, thank you. May I ask that is the differens between your Levis (any other brans) and IH?!
UPD Just upploaded pictures of my quite new Nudies, 96 cm it is. Should I try 37?

@JeansCat on every product page you have the "+ add to compare" button, which lets you compare up to 3 items side by side. This is a compare of the 555, 666 and 777 cuts in the XHS fabric:

Hi guys!
Can you advise me on how to avoid such artifacts, when jeans "break" at the crease.? I understand they occur due to excessive stiffness, is there a way to prevent such tearing? Regular washing, fabric softener, or something like that?
-
These is not mine, but I can see this issue mostly on 25 oz
https://www.ironheart.co.uk/content/hall-of-fades-25oz-indigo#25ozIndBHC-1
So maybe there is some recomendations how to avoid it. I am not agains soak new jeans och washing them. -
@Kasi he already addressed the issue by giving them a soak before starting to wear them. The only time I see this on IH 25oz is when people cuff them and overtime the fabric weakens at the cuff folding and starts tearing. I have never seen it on honeycomb.

It happens to me on almost all my denim, my 21oz had much longer sections of this but when I sent them in for repair, much to my surprise they were patched up which I didn't even realize was a viable repair, but I agree with @goosehd they are just another marking of a pair of jeans well worn!!
