IH-888-NT - 21/23oz indigo Selvedge DWC Jeans
-
So with this style of denim… is this one you'd size up in with the shrinkage? Just curious what people have done in the past with 21/23oz.
Joe
Certainly not in my experience. I have this denim in the BB cut from the last DWC. From my experience, and from what I've read of other's experience, cuts in this denim come up slightly bigger than the same cut in other denim. Add the fact that they have larger dimensions while raw and you can end up with jeans that are too big. I've seen Gavin (Megatron1505) recommend going TTS with these, he has the sample pair. I'm about a W35 and I'll go for that or maybe even a W34.
Thanks… the 38 in the 888 is very similar to the Pronto 10th Ann. Slim cut... and the 40 isn't that much different. But then again the sizes posted are post shrink. Thanks

The measurements given . . . does anyone think I can get the front rise further down below ~11" on a pair with a waist of 34" with this denim?
Please feel free to chime in. I'd like to join the competition but high rises don't work for me. -
@piranha you don't need to wear the IH-888-NT for the contest. In fact, I'm tempted by the Burg & Schild 634 collaboration as I find the 21/23 oz denim to be a bit warm here in Australia.
Yes, I know that @louisbosco wore his in Perth, which is hotter than Melbourne, but I'm a wimp.
Iron Heart Japan offers the 634SR, which is in the same fabric, but with a lower front rise, which should come to under 11". Their web shop lists both size 33 and 34, and @Giles should be able to get you a pair.
Incidentally, the Japan only paraffin coated 634s look really interesting…

Made the deposit on these today. :o

Great choice, easily the most comfortable cut I have worn…..although I took the weekend off from them due to highs of 29 degrees. Switched out to the 14oz OD and feeling fresher for it.
I'll be back in them tomorrow though, if you're gonna be a bear, be a grizzly

Yeeeesssss! Good work dude. I'm eyeing the calender nervously. My instinct is to go with the 21oz version in August but I get the feeling I won't be able to let these slip…
Thanks bro…. I have admired too many photos of UHR to let these pass. I'm happy my ebay auctions sold so quickly. I didnt need to sell things to pay for these.... Having the money wasn't the issue, it was justifying a purchase without getting rid of some things that I no longer used. It felt good this way

It will stretch out from that after wear really quickly. If i were you I would get the 38's and stretch them out after soak, endure a day of pain for a better fit in the long run.

Mega, not had the 23oz before. Would you recommend the normal tag size of 36 old boy….?

Definitely mate. My advice with UHR is always get your tanagers size, have a day of pain after soaking then enjoy a great fit

But what size is it? And is that pic before or after soaking?
