Try buttoning several times while not wearing to loosen the holes a bit. Make sure you pee before putting them on.
done and done… thanks

Going to have to sit this one out (or lose some weight real quick!). Tried on a pair of 36s at SE and the fit was pretty good but that was pre-soak. They would have hurt pretty bad post soak (or I wouldn't have been able to get them on).
Looks like I'm going to be 4F in the RAWWAR.

why don´t you cop a 38, do a superhotsoak, use the hottest radiator you can find and then you should be good to go…
otherwise cop the 36 and soak while wearing the jeans...after that wear to dry!i had the same "problems" tbh...my presoak fit was just right at the waist, then i did a 30min. coldsoak and after the soak i had major problems to button all the buttons...now, after the war, all buttons are closed and the denim has almost stretched back to presoak measurements!

Yep , however not buttoned . Had a belt holding it together .
Still trying to get the buttons in :-\ -
Got mine today…
Shipped day before yesterday and arrived in rural Northern California this morning! Craziness...They are awesome, and beastly, and beautiful, and scary and all that they were billed to be.
Only issue for me is that my tagged 35"s measured 35 raw (when really stretched). Seriously, I tugged and stretched and could almost get them close to 36, but they aren't quite there. I tried them on raw and they fit really snug...
My tagged 34 634 have stretched to 36 (and fit pretty loose, andmy 36" 801s and 9634s are a tad roomy) so I figured this would be perfect.Since I had em' hemmed pretty short (hobbit legs) I'm just gonna cross my fingers and hope it works out. I was barely able to wedge a 35' piece of wood into the waist band after some effort and went ahead and soaked them in luke warm water...
Power of positive thinking and some New Year's gym time might be just the answer...

I didn't measure the waist on my 31, but they were about 29 like kit99bar's after a hot soak. I did manage to get them on while damp. The SRs did stretch, so I expect these will too. But god damn if they aren't a whole lot more stubborn than the 666XHS.
Not sure if you want to try this Katsushin, but I got a half inch out of a pair of jeans one time by putting them on the floor, sticking my foot in waist band on one end and pulling like mad on the other end.
Inseam shrunk from 35 to 33.

think we might be wearing the same size katsushin. bought a waist 35 too and hemmed it to 31.5". don't intend to cuff it so i can wear it more frequently. hopefully it doesn't shrink more than an inch!
i just did my measurement as well and my tagged size 35 raw is measured at 35" on the waist too.
bought a 35 cause i reckon the 36 would be too roomy from the thigh down for me.
gonna soak it tomorrow. will post my post soak measurements when its done.

mine are pretty slim after a double hot soak in the hottest water from the tap. not official measurements yet because I did it immediately after I took them out of the water and turned them right side out, but for fun:
waist: 31->29
Knee: 9->8.6
Hem: 8.6->8.2Not good news. I won't be able to pull these off given the denim's weight. Puuuuuuush.

Might as see how they stretch after the soak. I can measure mine tomorrow. Hard to tell because damp jeans feel like crap, but they are getting easier to manage than when I put them on about an hour ago.
Edit: Then again, I was laughing maniacally the entire time I was trying to turn them right side out while wet… Perhaps I have a high tolerance against torment.

Inseam will be too long and I am quite certain the other dimensions will be too big left as is. It's painful enough pushing out heavyweight size 30s, never mind 29. I went through that pain with the RS2s and 2105s and it's just a colossal waste of time and comfort in the gut. I guess if everyone else is going through the struggles that seem to accompany these jeans, so can I. Fuck it.
