So… I saw a IH shirt on the ebay. Tempted by the lack of bidding activity and a few beers in, I placed a bid with out researching the model in particular.... It was western, my size and a new color, nuff said. It arrives, with tags called a IHSH 114, burgundy hairline. Looking on IH website and forum, I don't see the model anywhere. Was this some sort of knock off? It's a blend, which I find unusual but am not convinced it's a counterfeit. What is it?

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong section.
I was wondering if anyone could help point me in the right direction of a white oxford shirt please.
I was one that is button down and got brown/tortoise shell type buttons and made in usa or japan.
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
thanks

So I have a IHSH-76 and a recently bought IHSH-75. I'm questioning the need for two denim shirts. What about overdying the 76 ala the IHSH-99. So what are the ins and outs of doing this at home. I remember doing this with denim when I was a younger lad, but from memory they fade quite quickly. What's the difference in doing this at home against it being done commercially? Can you send clothes out to have it done commercially? Or is it all the same just more dye and hotter/ longer time in the dye?
Maybe this post is in the wrong place, excuse me if it belongs elsewhere!

IMHO, over the counter dye kits do not generally last well and I wouldn't use them on such a nice/ expensive item unless I had to (like Seul and the ink shirt).
Unless you're experienced in the process, and can lay hands on a suitable dye and the apparatus/ space to do it right I wouldn't advise it.

Thanks Megatron, what do think about some of the professional services available. Eg. http://www.prestigedyers.co.uk/site/pages/generalservices/overview.html or
http://www.bluemill.co.uk/id1.html ..?@Giles do Ironheart UK outsource this work locally or do the overdyed items come from Japan this way?

It is always done in Kojima. It is done on an industrial scale and to get the depth of overdye, is a very intensive process, hence the damage on the last batch of IHSH-99. That is not to say it can't be done and I am looking into possibly doing it at our new premises, but the end result wil be completely different.

Thanks Giles, I'll keep an eye out for that..

Apologies if this has been asked before: Is there any particular reason why the inseams on IH Jeans are overlocked rather than felled? I can see it either being not possible or perhaps even looking funny to have the inseam felled on the heavier denim but was wondering if this is the case on the "lighter" denim lots as well?
Thanks.
