@Nik absolutely. I haven’t been to the other location so I can’t compare them, but it’s a fantastic shop and a really cool experience. It’s also close to a number of great denim and workwear shops that I’m sure you’d appreciate. I especially enjoyed Hummingbirds Hill and Beams Plus. Online booking was easy. I booked with Kio Yoshida and he did an amazing job on my hair. If you’re in the mood for some Indian food after, British Indian Cafe 1930 is great. Biggest naan I’ve ever seen and awesome ginger ale.

Thank you @Nik! While we’re sharing compliments, Chicken pics always brighten me and my partner’s day

Got hooked up at the Jingumae shop yesterday. One of the best cut and shaves I’ve ever had (and a great value too). Bye bye beard

“Walter's innovations helped redefine the harmonica and changed the way people viewed the instrument. Before Walter, harmonicas were considered toys and cost a dime, but after him they were viewed as instruments and cost $5”

@GraemeE Thanks for sharing! I need to check this out. I remember visiting reservations w/ my dad out West as a kid and hearing live performances and seeing CDs for sale. Would be cool to have some of that for the collection. Agreed on their shitty treatment. Damn tragedy.

When I think of my dad and music, two words come to mind. Jimmy. Buffett.

RE: Wax Treasure (Vinyl)
“Calling an album one the best in this particular genre, Chicago blues, is a pretty big move. There are plenty of masters of this particular form, and the success of several different record companies recording the genre over the years has assured no shortage of material. Something just comes together splendidly on these sessions that elevates this album well above the level of even some of the great Chicago sides of artists such as Muddy Waters. It might not exude the timeless gold dust of such records, but at the same time has a raw energy and breathless courage that goes well beyond anything the Chess label got on tape in its studios.“ -all music review excerpt (I think sums it up pretty good)

@Aetas I’m holding out for the right copy of this one but it’s one of my most coveted currently. Such good music.

RE: Wax Treasure (Vinyl)
@Aetas very sorry for your loss. I still mourn my fathers passing (a decade ago) and music has a way of reminding me of him in a way that can either put a big smile on my face or bring me to tears.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
Can a legacy UHF workshirt be sent to Gosport to have its buttons updated to the new 15mm ones? If so, what would cost be?
