Was a big fan of Carharrt back when it was Union Made and Crafted With Pride In The USA but now most of the workline seems to be made in Mexico that i have seen. The Euro line was aimed at skaters when it was first launched and did contain bits and bobs of the proper US workline before those were eventually watered down, i'm sure the HQ is still based in Germany.
Still have black ducks, tee and my much beloved hoodie which due to it's pretty beat up nature is used only for heavy work these days.
Any UK workwear fans remember a store called The Duke??

Here's a few quickly taken photo's of my Carharrt gear:
1st up my 16 year old hoodie
Next my black ducks
And finally my tee-shirt front and back
-
Good stuff HD, I wear my black ducks to work every Friday, love them.

Normally wear my hoodie and ducks once in awhile and if i'm honest it will kill me to throw that hoodie out as although you can't tell from the shot i posted it is pock marked with holes over most of it and the cuffs have practically frayed away :(. Don't make em like they used to.
-
Keep it, don't throw it out, I'm sure it still has a lot of wear left in it.

They are nice stores and all with the odd decent bit of gear but it is the Euro Streetwear stuff going by the press release, which is a shame.
"
The origins of the CARHARTT brand are in the USA and date back to 1889. CARHARTT‘S success story in Europe started in 1994, when selected products from the popular US workwear brand were authorized outside the American continent under distribution by WORK IN PROGRESS. The authentic CARHARTT workwear products rapidly became popular with both fans of traditional US heritage garments, people from the urban culture and urban sports scene in Europe. The success was immediate. The first product range designed by WORK IN PROGRESS, CARHARTT‘S European partner, exclusive to Europe, followed in 1997. The original workwear cuts were re-interpreted and re-fitted for the demands of an active life in the urban environment true to CARHARTT‘S core values: outstanding design combined with exceptional quality, durability and comfort. Dedicated to provide best in class apparel.
Making history since 1889, on Thursday, October 27, 2011 CARHARTT Inc. and WORK IN PROGRESS celebrate a historical moment: the CARHARTT WORK IN PROGRESS store opening in NEW YORK CITY. The store will feature WORK IN PROGRESS products and future collaborations (APC, VANS etc.). WORK IN PROGRESS brings the best in class apparel back. "

wanting to grab a pair of the roper duck pants. Does anyone know how UnionMade measures their jeans?
is the waist measurement aligned or drooping down? Not sure if I need the 29 or 30http://www.unionmadegoods.com/Carhartt_Roper_Pant_in_Rigid_Carhartt_Brown_2990.html#

I thought about a Carhartt photo album.. I have soo many items it would take me ages so i'm gonna take little bites.. (I worked in a retail store and was allowed access to the catalog) My most worn items are the zip-front hoodies, (All in tall sizes) and the subject of this post hammer pant-shorts.. These two pair are worn almost every day during the summer. The denim shorts were a long pant that had been "L" torn on the rear pocket and returned unwashed 32" long. L tears are nearly constant with this denim. He didn't want a used pair of jeans that had been repaired. I was asked by the tailor if i needed any shorts.. My light denim chore coat shown on page (4) of this thread also has two tears, one on both the front pockets. The blue duck pair of shorts started life as a green pair (note the green thread) I love the light whiskers and layer wear on both pair. I hope that my new IH's shown here ( http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1732.new#new ) will fade in this direction…

where to cop ? any link ? looking for duck cotton.
The cotton difference in Iron Heart should make a used pair of IH last longer than the Carhartt..
Members have some wicked used duck for re-sale here…http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=5.0
Sorry i took so long to get back to you..
But all this IH stuff is timeless right?
BTW… Great unwashed Carhartt brown! That "new pair feel" is awesome..
