Nothing to whine about. We did not deserve to be in the final anyway. Still, on this one game only, we could have won. NZ played like France played against Wales: a superior team, but so afraid to lose that they almost lost.
Four more years. Fuck fuck fuck

What a night!!! NZ have never partied so hard. I haven't been out this late since college
5 hour sleep and now i am going to watch the victory parade in town. I wasn't up for it in till a friend of my pointed out we may not live to see this happen again….... How do you say no to that!

Yep go the AB's, was watching this game with the famdamly, had my AB's jersey on, my youngest had about 6 AB stick on tattoo's, an AB's flag, a NZ flag.
Then half way thru the game my wife says Piri Weepu is not on fire, I silently said we will b alright, the others will step up. France were tackling everything, then when Cruden went off and Donald came on I thought here we go everythings still cool - Yeah right. Last 5 min's I was standing up, then when Ellis kicked it out I was just numb for a while, then i thought you beauties.
What a close final that was…Havent watched the reply yet.
My mate was at the game, lucky bugger, he got home at 6 am (hope his wife woke him and told him to look after the kids). Lucky it was a holiday here today in NZ. Should b a National holiday tomoro anyways.
Peace

Congratulations to NZ!
It was a great game. Good rugby.
French defence was really good, so that the AB had to play with their feet to get over it and play with line-outs.
Unfortunately, like a French told me yesterday at the pub: "It is not just about playing good it is also about winning…"Nicely said.
All in all, the AB did just like the French against Wales a week before.I wish lots of happiness to NZ enjoying the party in their own country. That is a one in a lifetime event! Maybe more with hope!
Hope the French will be back in 4 years!
And I was already drunk at 12p.m. which was the first time in my life. But strangely enough Guinness at 10.30 in the morning after croissant and coffee, tastes good.

Before the RWC and even during the initial phase, it was Sonny Bill Williams all over, then he disappeared. I hope he stays in NZ and continues to play with the AB, he is a spectacular player and the game needs guys like him.
Defense is so powerful nowadays, I hope it's not going to become "boring": I know connoisseurs dont find it boring because of the intensity, the technicalities, but non specialists will lose interests if games are 9-8, 8-7 types of scores. So I predict there will be more law tweakings to generate higher scoring.
At the end of the day, it's going to look like League in a couple decades…

Does anyone here have a recording of this game? If so, I'd love a dvd copy. I did not find a download link on the web…

Following the 6 Nations, I have a nasty feeling England is going to be a very very fearsome team when the 2015 RWC comes around.
Ireland's golden era is finished. I hope Scotland sticks to its attacking game: although they lost ALL of their games, they have started something that could blossom into a very good tram. They need time and practice.
Although Wales won the GrandSlam, I was less impressed with them than during the last RWC. Can they build on this great series and consolidate and establish a legacy? That would be a nice and almost romantic tribute to the legends Barry John, Phil Bennett, Gareth Edwards, Merwin Davies and JPR Williams to name a few.
France? What the fucke, quite frankly. Self destructive policy in the French Rugby League keeps hampering our potential: the players play way too many games, are totally washed out and on top of that we are suffering from a lack at 10. Beauxis is no Daniel Carter, to say the least. I foresee a dark age looming on the horizon, alas….

New zealand Ireland games are quite exciting
They did not show South Africa England, which is a shame. -
Australia-NZ was a nice game, despite the absence of tries. I loved the final 5 minutes. Carter missed a drop goal that would have made the evening perfect. Oh well…
even though NZ stopped at 16 consecutive wins and did not break South Africa's record, they still a fabulous team.

I have a notion Australia has it in them to win the next world cup in 2015 in England. In 2003, England went to win the RWC in Australia, defeating Australia in the final. The opposite could very well happen in 3 years.
There are some key players in the NZ squad who might be too old to compete at the top of their game in 2015: McCaw, Carter, Nonu, Mealamu, and a couple others whose names escape me at the moment… So for NZ to repeat is going to be super difficult.
