Man i've been wearing these pretty much exclusively since i got them except when i rotate in a pair of the 701s ocassionally… and my DC4 are still very much dark. I just gave them a wash in the machine inside out and the only halfway major fade ive got going on is the wallet fade... light lap/calf crease fades but that's it.
-
just thinking, the denim used in DC4001 is the 21 oz signature denim right? but why is it fade slower than any other 21oz signature models (634S,301S).. again, CMIIW..

Funny, I would have said exactly the opposite. My DC4001 bled blue at great speed leaving me with smurf hands all the times for about 6 weeks. With the 634s I hardly see any colour loss on shirts etc. I even started to wear white shirts tucked in the 634s because they do not bleed.
I guess it just depends on the production run and the way the indigo got into the jeans. Each pair or batch is different. -
Hippo, absolutely spot on.
On a related point, difference in the temperature and humidity in the mill will make the shuttle looms behave differently as will the time duration since the last service. All of these factors (and more) will make each batch of fabric different….

I should probably post this in the IH product ideas thread. Well my idea involves the dc 4001 patch so here it goes. I'm actually in the market for a new bible cover and I'm thinking a 21 oz denim bible/holy Koran/whatever the fuck book cover would be the shit for us churchgoers. And this patch would be PERFECT on the front! Or even the 666s patch would be a cool option for a touch of irony or for legitimate devil worshipers. God, that would be cool!
