I actually have only had one bad experience with USPS in all of my dealings with them. I use them multiple times a day and they get pretty much anything around the US in 2 days time. It has been over a week since I placed an order with a shop in Canada and the item most likely won't be here until late in the week if that.

maybe its me or what but always experience bad service by UPS (missing stuff, damage (recent order before Christmas they damage my Dr. Marten Brogue Wingtip - the box and shoe is crushed luckily Amazon UK replace a new one and reship using DHL !, delays-i dont know the meaning of adverse weather,no flight available, flight cancel etc but they always got this weird exception, once i received my item more then 8 days ! reason is adverse weather lol)
but never with DHL nor Fedex (regardless what happen it will arrived within 3 working days or most is 4/5 including weekends/holiday)…
my 1st IH purchase now stuck in Singapore instead of flying direct to malaysia from shenzen....normally anything from China or Kong Kong it will fly direct to KL, i dont know why it went to SG instead....
Anyway i hope IH-UK can consider DHL or FEDEX.....
-
Well your parcel left UK on 16th, it was packed on Sunday 15th but we have no pick ups in the UK on a Sunday, so we are currently at 2 working days. DHL have a major hub in KL, that is why stuff routes through there.
I have lost just 2 packages with UPS in the last 3 years and I post thousands and have not had any damaged parcels.
The big 3 carriers are much of a muchness, but I get the biggest discounts with UPS and as I pay for the shipping and I have had no major problems with UPS, that is who we will continue to use.
-
noted G about sticking to UPS. actually i counted the delivery dates from the day they pickup the item….and they even stated that delivery will be on 18 Jan before end of the day...
FYI, based on my online shopping and shipping using major courier such as fedex, dhl, ups after shenzhen or hong kong it will fly direct to KL but not sure why this one transiting in SG....
maybe not just my luck....hehe...and afterall i'm getting impatient since its my first IH.....

In my experience with Giles and others, UPS had been far superior to pretty much all others. I have found FedEx to be surprisingly slow, which has led me to avoid it most of the time.

Amazing UPS shipping and customer service from IHUK. I had to return the first Rider but both ship times to me were around 24hrs each to NYC. Not Bad!
-
What should the cost of a pair of IH Denim be shipped from Australia to NYC? Anyone? Help please
-
About 25-35 registered I think. There's a 9 $ fee the Aussie will have to pay - something to do with getting them checked by US customs…
Precisely what I thought.
-
its around US $50 pair of 634s weight 1100g + packing via Registered Post International
http://auspost.com.au/apps/international-parcel.html
and yes there is a $9 surcharge
Articles over 500g and all ECI and EPI services will be subject to an additional $9 security surcharge and may face transit delays of up to 48 hours
-
Thanks Rocket. Well, either way he ain't getting that $50. Should have factored that into the final cost or something. May as well buy a almost new pair from the US… (Lando checks off Australia as a Country to buy from)

after my current 634S being still out there somewhere, i gotta admit that UPS are much faster. Plus their tracking is so much more accurate. Furthermore, i was able to call their local banch to check the status which are very detailed.
