SEXIHXINDO16 Unsanforized 19oz Indigo Selvedge Denim
-
haha sorry kit99bar i didnt know that! I was just surprised because these are my first pair and i didn't expect them to fade so quickly.
But yes these fade wonderfully, especially in the areas where there is a high amount of friction on the side of my knee caps near my honeycombs.I wore these out to disneyland last weekend and after splash mountain got my thighs wet at the end of the ride. That area of my sexindos got crrazy stiff i felt like i could get shot in the leg and have the bullet bounce right bacck.

I'm curious to see how you feel about them once you get to wear them- not a lot of firsthand commentary.
Yep, no probs I'll post something when I get them. I'm hoping SE's sizing chart is reasonably accurate. With any luck the 34.5 inch waist will shrink to 33.5 or maybe even 30 in hot water, which will be tight at first but should stretch out pretty fast. If the waist is any larger than 35 pre-soak, I may struggle to get them down enough.
Unsanforized jeans always make me nervous about sizing, but when it's right, they're just so damn good!
More when they arrive….

Daang rocknroll 30?? that's massive shrinkage. I was actually thinking about soaking my jeans in hot water once more just to see how much it'll shrink. I love the fit after my initial hot soak but a eensy bit smaller and fitted couldn't hurt could it?
-
never ever to 30. must be a typo or wrong measurements

D'oh. It was late at night when I wrote that. I meant 33, not 30!!
-
Should be possible- mine shrank 1.5 inches in the waist. My size 33 measured 35.5 pre-soak, though. If yours are the same, it may be tough to get them down to 33".
-
Damn. If they're the same as yours pre-soak (35.5) they aint gonna work.
I've had trouble with SE sizing charts before…a pity they don't put the same effort into providing measurements as they do into sourcing quality clothes.
Should be here any day now, so we shall see.
BTW Chris, how much did yours stretch out again after some wear?
-
OK, I retract my previous comment (for the time being)…the jeans arrived and the measurements are acceptably close to the the SE charts.
But, more importantly, on to the denim: Now I understand why people went nuts over the SEXIH07!! The 'regular' IH denim is of course amazing too, but for me this stuff is just a new level of boner-inducing.
Will try on soon to check fit, but an initial inspection looks promising...

It is pretty denim, isn't it?

I haven't worn mine, so I can't say. I have a backlog of denim- I used to rotate through 3-4 pairs at a time, but now I'm trying to stick with a single pair for at least 6 months before moving on to the next. Currently, I'm working on a pair of Samurai and the plan is to move into the INDOs in the fall.
-
I know the feeling, Chris. I also have a denim backlog (and I suspect many people here do too!).
However, if these puppies fit me I can see them being bumped up the pecking order. Part of it is the fit, but part is about the challenge of breaking in this solid denim. In their unsoaked state they are like fucking cardboard - I love it.
-
Righto, I got round to trying the beasts on. I think they'll be OK, but I'm going to have to be careful with the soaking: I hope to get about 1.5 inches shrinkage in the waist, but not too much in the inseam. Could be some stretching required during drying.
Anyway, here's a couple of pics pre-soak.
Tagged 33 Indo's, pre soak. Yes, that's a jar of pasta holding up my poor old couch. (side note: delicious Oil-Pull leather couch is on it's way…can't wait!)
Tagged 33 Indo's, pre soak. They're not really such a light blue. The room was very bright, and the camera overwhelmed by blueness!
Slightly closer to the true colour! Fuck, these jeans are STIFF.
Using cutlery to stretch the button holes. Insert and rotate - it works a treat (this principal can also be applied to other areas of life!).Off for a hot soak now. Will include pics and pre/post measurements at a late date. If it turns to shyte, these things will be up for sale next week!

Have given my tagged 33's a medium-hot soak, and here are the before/after measurements (jn inches)
Pre:
Waist 35
Thigh 12.5
Knee 9.25
Opening 8.5
Inseam 35.75Post:
Waist 34
Thigh 12
Knee 8.75
Opening 8.125
Inseam 34.5I was hoping for a fit like Simon's (below), but mine have remained a bit baggier than I would like (especially in the arse area). The waste is perfect right now (I prefer not to wear belts), but will no doubt stretch out at least an inch over time. I usually find that if the waste is perfect when new, it's too big after only a couple of weeks.
I'm debating whether to keep them or go down a size. Tough call…..Simon if you're reading this, how have yours stretched?
I'll get a pic or two up here soon.

Ahhhh what the hell… I just ordered a size 32 from SE. The denim is so damn good I want these jeans to be the perfect fit so I'm gonna play off the 32 against the 33. The 33 is pretty good, but maybe a tad too loose. Let's see what the 32 offers.
The loser ends up for sale, so stay tuned for a cheap pair of Indo's sometime soon....
Either way, I can't wait to rock this amazing denim.
Yes, I am fucking insane.

nah, you seem to fit in really well here rock-n-rolla.
