I have the TW1220's but in NC that's like wearing a blanket on your legs, so humid!
-
True, the 1220s have a tighter weave, so they feel warmer, despite being a lighter weight. Just wear the 634s. Though I've worn both in Texas summers, the 634s feel a bit better. I'm pretty exclusively a jeans kinda guy, so I'll almost always wear denim, regardless of the weather.

Having a car without air conditioning makes it necessary for me to utlize shorts in the summer. But, I think now that I have moved, I will be able to rock the jeans all year long.

Looking for some package and delivery related help here. So, as an avid record collector, I have had a ton of stuff delivered to my residences by USPS the last 10 years. Probably thousands of packages. Anyway, in that time I only had one package go missing, and it wasn't tracked, so not much to look into.
This week, a package was on its way with delivery confirmation via USPS to my house in Philadelphia. Actually three packages. My mother is living there now. In the morning, the mail guy stopped by and dropped off 2 packages, with delivery confirmation, and my mother picked them up. Done deal. Later in the afternoon, another package was "delivered." So, the tracking on the site says delivered in my postal code at 3:38PM. The thing is, my mom was home. No package was delivered.
This has happened before. 2-3 times. On each occurrence, the package arrived the next day, and I just assumed that the post man picked up some packages at the end of the route and scanned them as delivered and then dropped them the next day. Not quite right, but no big deal, I can understand that.
The problem is, this package that was scanned in my postal code as delivered on Monday, still has not arrived at my house by Saturday. Anyone have this happen before? What are my options? I can't file a claim until a full 14 days are up, but I can already tell something is screwed up with the delivery.

Yea, I was going to call them today.

pretty sure its at your PO, happen all the time to my customers in the US…
Okay, I was hoping to hear this. I just called the local PO. They said they would look into it, but it would take a few days.
Ordered from the guy multiple times before, and it always worked out fine, but as I understand it, he started double boxing his packages, which I think might be too large for the regular mailman (he walks the route). Usual they send it out on a truck if this happens. The problem is, there is a house one street down, with the same house number as me, and sometimes I get their mail, so I was just hoping that it didn't end up at the wrong house. If one of my neighbors got it they would have given it to me (at least those on my street). As for the other street, I have no idea.

This is why you don't call but physically get your arse over…

True, but you forgot that Tom is in Canada now. He's gotta talk his mom in Philadelphia into physically getting her arse down there…;)

I like where this is going…
Fortunately, I will be back next Saturday. They said they would call me on Monday to let me know if the came up with anything. The people at my local post are actually quite nice, though I have trouble identifying which of the two post offices one might need to visit to find a package. There is a postal store (this is where you go to send things, buy stamps, boxes, etc) where you have to pick up some packages and then there is the actual post office, where you also have to go to pick up other types of packages.
If I could actually identify which one I need to go to, I would go, but I have had numerous occasions looking a fool as they tell me one has it, and it doesn't, and I have to drive back to the other one, who once again say they don't have it, and I have to politely say, please look, to which they usually arrive with a package.
My mom will get it, but I am not having her do the drive back and forth thing, because she has a shorter temper than me (and mine is fekkin short).
