IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
After a week I can say that these jeans are starting to adapt to my legs. Deep creases appeared behind the knees and at the high thighs (evo will be interesting there!) and button/unbutton them is now easy. As I expected, they stretched, maybe a little less then 634S, but they stretched, so they are not really slim fitted, exactly as i wanted.
At the same time, they continue to be stubborn, rigid and tough as hell. But isn't this rigidity what make them fit so well?
Yesterday I took a walk in the woods near home, and I was trapped between the brambles. I would still be there if I had not worn my invincible 25oz leg-armor! I went through the bushes full of thorns as they were a field of daisies!
One last note: they are the only pair of jeans that I really love wearing cuffed. It's strange. How are urs doing now.. I am so intimidated by these fekkers..I tried to unbutton them just now because i wanted to take a pic of them standing on their own & guess what??… these things are locked on me like a chastity belt…These are born again Virgin jeans for gods sake's
25oz experience continues...

@Dirty:
Thanks I'll treat em like they stole from my momma. I was afraid i was really gonna struggle putting them on because my fav fitting jeans measure 35 in the waist. I feel like I just hit a homerun in the bottom of the 9th in game 7 of the world series..and all im doing in them right now is walking around my house going to every mirror I own…Rock N' Roll
RocknRoll indeed DD! They look damn good, and will only get better with time.
Awesome t-shirt too!

And another thing DD….I read in one of your other posts that you were hoping to get the lower legs a bit slimmer. It's not gonna happen with these - they hardly shrink at all with soaking (indeed there is no point in an initial soak).
Just embrace them for what they are, i.e. awesome jeans, and perhaps when the regular 666s come back in stock you can pick up a pair of them too (even though they are supposedly the same cut as the 25oz, the leg opening are smaller). That way you'll have a pair of Devils for all seasons!

awesome fit DD. and im loving how you "wear" the excess cut-off around your biceps.

THanks for all the comments they are greatly appreciated... I am still in shock I even bought these..I mean I bought my 1st pair of Raws on Feb 19th (Novice Pair) Nudies. I quickly got over them..similar to buying a station wagon with chrome rims…Seemed like a good buy & then someone pulled up in a ferrari...U FEKKERS in ur IH's. As for buying anything else in the near future not so sure ..Just found out my union might be calling for a strike soon. I hope its just typical he said she said because I need the DC4002 Ih 25oz show stoppers.
I have another question??? How do these hold up with some beating up like if i hit the pavement will they tear easily or should i just say fekk it.

Thanks..I am gonna try to make those into bracelets. Just have to figure out how i will put em together

If the Union (she) does not go on strike, tell me to do that with the next set of cut-offs….
Thanks G didnt know u offered that service…As for the strike who knows when u are dealing with greedy executives @ Verizon or as we call it Veri-Greedy Execs
-
I don't, but it is super easy….....(if anyone else is reading this - I mean like USD25 easy)....
$25 easy…NICE. It would be cool to somehow put together enough scraps to have a complete bracelet made out of the selvedge edge. U can call them Braceledges

I am the man of a million questions. SHould I pinch my whiskers, Honeycombs & stacks while the denim is still crispy? I read that in an article but wasnt sure if that is considered cheating.

Gotta have patience Luke, and Leave them jeans alone. In a few month you will begin to feel the force

Just my opinions, and what I've noticed with heavy Denim.
As these are sanforized, I still would recommend proper warm/hot soak with some agitation, or detergent free spin in washer (jeans turned inside out) just to get rid of the exess starch there is in the jeans. And very importantly also to soften the fabric a bit, so that it doesn't create "hard" bends or creases and start to fray prematurely. (especially the cuffs, I beleive the other critical place is crotch)
I would also do a second warm/ hot soak spin in machine after let's say 2 weeks from the first. Same reasons as above.
When turned inside out, they won't loose too much indigo anyway.
Best way to set combs whiskers etc is to start wearing them after soak while they are still damp.

Some consider it cheating, but GeeZeeEm these are your jeans and who the feck has the right to tel you what to do with them. Personally I can't be bothered and I suspect the cowboys and workers of old didn't bother either…
If cowboys had worn these the horse would be extinct by now.
