IH-634S-GR - 21oz Grey Selvage Straight Cut Jeans

How much length are you likely to lose on the inseam due to shrinkage (I know they're sanforised :D) and creases? I'm sure that I read something here about losing an inch due to the latter, but can't seem to find the reference.
I think the stiffer the denim the more length you lose with creases, so with the regular 634s being quite soft it's not as marked as say the 634-XHS. I guess Giles can fill us in on how soft these are, but I haven't noticed any appreciable shortening on my 634s and I would expect these to be similar…
Giles - PM sent re 38s, thanks!

@MP:
I know what you mean about customs, I still can't believe it when I get a package in the mail from outside the EU and get hit not only with the 20% VAT, but also the handling charge for the privilege!
I hope they're enjoyable family duties anyway, all the best,
MattI know what you're talking about, huge annoyance. I have had the experience that it depends on the firm handling the shipment. When I received something from the US via one of the courier services, can't really recall FedEx, UPS or whatnot, I was punished with a handling charge by them on top of a really bad customs fee. When it was DHL, who took over our national German postal services, at least it was only customs, no handling fee. You may try, in the future, to find a shipment provider in your area that behaves like DHL here, good luck!

Nice, just waiting on the crewnecks!!
I'm trying to search…and Pete told me about these, but I can't seem to find a pic, link??

They won't be up until Monday I am afraid. Seriously running out of time here. Buy the jeans and stack them if you want to play safe…
Thanks G! Stacked! Just need to make sure I am paying attention on Monday!

Good call Tom. These jeans look incredible. Varg would surely approve!

Ordered these in a 33. Psyched to get'em.

I am shocked there hasn't been more anticipation for these. I just received mine in the mail, and will post fit pics shortly. The color is really great. I own a pair of 301s, BBs, 666s, and 4001s, but have avoided the 634s because I thought they would be too baggy for my liking. I am pleasantly surprised by how awesome the cut is. It is still relatively slim. Very awesome.

I think the denim on these looks stunning and I like that contrast stitching isn't used as with the SBG - I reckon these could be dressed up nicely if required. Perhaps these are jeans that people will pick up come autumn and wear through the winter - easy to see why the white denim has had a more excitable reception in the summer.
Personally, I'm most excited about the TW revised 634 in LHT denim.

Sorry, this is an iphone pic: flathead, IH-634S-GR, AldenxUnionMade.
I think these are my favorite IH jeans, and I own a lot of them. The color is awesome, and I love my first experience with the 634 cut. One note is that these are not soft like indigo dyed IH when they are brand new, but they are already softening up. Love'em. I highly recommend everyone get a pair if they have the means.
Should give the stats a well, I am 6'3", 200lbs and wearing a 33, which is my usual IH size. From Giles's measurements, it looks like these are a tad slimmer all the way around from the regular 634s.

Those look really nice. I am seriously having a hard time resisting, even though I need more jeans like Giles needs more boots.

Same. I justified it because not only was it a new color for me, but it was my first pair of 634s.
-
Yeah, I'd have to justify solely on the basis of it being a new denim for me. Since I love my 634s, that weakens my resistance.
-
I justified it since they look different enough to my 634s being a different colour and overall 'look'.
I thought the 634-XHS and 634-B were in time going to look too similar to justify (but give me time!). Plus the 634 is such a good cut, it makes sense to have it in multiple denims!
I'm also patiently waiting on the 38s, hopefully with a little tweak.
