IH-526BJ - 18oz Raw Indigo Type III
-
Two Letter Acronym….
Well people from LA do specialize in BJ's so I am a bit confused. SF ALL DAY!
-
Wonder why I liked the place more than I thought I would…
Solid recovery. No comment. Anyhow, BJ…. :-\

This jacket is growing on me daily, but I have sizing issues.
Going by the table, I would prefer the length and arm of an XL, but the width of an L. Giles' fit pics (wearing an XL) would confirm this - I'm almost as tall as him but don't eat as many pies
so I'm a bit skinnier.
Any ideas how I could get a round this? I'm wondering if getting an XL and trying to stretch the length after soaking might work.
I don't have any other IH jackets to compare.

Ha ha!
Yes I know the body is always short on a Type 3, but I'd like the arms to be a decent length. When I mentioned stretching them, I was more meaning preventing shrinkage after soaking, so they maintain their unsoaked length.
Maybe I'm hoping for something that just ain't gonna happen. If only this jacket had the measurements of the cord type 3, I would be set….

I typically fit a small in shirts and jackets. However for my BJ I sized up to a large, purely because I wanted the length in the arms. This was the most important measurement for me in this instance… So if you want more length then I'd recommend sizing up. It may look slightly baggy in the torso, but you always have the option to layer.
I'll sort out a few more recent pics later.
In regards to the jacket itself, it's fantastic and the 18oz denim is one of the most characterful that Iron Heart has released - a really nice slubby texture without being too rough. With great potential for fades.

Sorry for the late response, erm I can't think of a situation where I've needed to know my exact measurements. Under 6 foot I think, certainly shorter than Giles but taller than Paula. I can't remember having my photo took with either Rafa or Ruedi… But enough rambling, more pics:

Thanks RnR. Seems like the weather is cool again today, so I'll be wearing it again.

Yep I was too optimistic with my forecasting ability
too warm today…
