Tagged Size vs. Actual Size (Sizing Questions & Advice)

I know you guys get questions like this a lot, but I'm buying a pair of IH jeans next Monday (Payday) but the trouble is I haven't got a pair of good fitting jeans to go off.
My current pair are 1947 LVC 501s in the STF that were a size 31 waist pre-wash and they shrunk down to about 29 and stretched back to 31 with regular wear. They fit pretty great everywhere except the front rise and the waist, so I was thinking I would go up to a 32 in the 634s, bad idea or decent idea?
Cheers guys.

It is really difficult to say as I do not know where the rise of your 47's places the waist band on your waist. Let me know what the front and rear rise of them is as per…...

Hey guys, I got a pair of busters sz31 in the beginning of july not aware that they seem to run a little small around the waist. When I got them and tried them on they were super tight, kinda painful actually. The folks around here said that the 21oz does stretch and it will eventually be comfortable. I have been wearing them lightly a few times a week for a month or two now and they are still really tight. Will they continue to stretch and get comfortable, or is there no hope and I should sell them? For size reference sz31 in 666s fits me perfectly.
Thanks.

I have Busters in a 31 and the last time I measured they stretched from 30 to 31" in the waist, maybe a little more now. I found that riding a bike, whole super uncomfortable, did a good job of stretching them quickly.

Deebo, soak the top block briefly in cold water–something like 5 minutes just to get them wet. Hang them upside down if possible to get the excess water out. Put them on while still damp, but not dripping, then wear them around, making sure to do crouches (like a baseball catcher position) to stretch out that area specifically. See if that helps.

Thanks adam313, the top block actually fits spot on, its just the waist that is tight.

Hey everyone, need some advise to size my next pair of ih,(666xhs).
I currently have 666s sze 32, they fit snug, but just fine for me.
everything is great except when i try to tuck in my shirt its too snug for my liking, and also my wife says the "bulge" is a bit much for public).
So ive read that the 666xhs is a bit more roomier fit, but not by much. Should i stick with size 32 or size ip to 33?
Thanks fellas -
Thanks seul!

Hey Seul, question for you. you have size 32 xhs right. Did your jeans ever stretch out beyond original measurements after you soaked/washed. Or they just stretched back to original measurements.
my best fitting pair of jeans measure 34" waist, and im basically looking for the waist to end up at 34" or at least 33.5 after soaking/stretching.
Thanks mate
