Don't get me wrong Sonnen has done well, but the champion is No.1 and after that you're either the challenger, up & coming or on the way out… Sonnen is no longer in the first two categories regardless of where you rank him. I reckon Silva will be beaten by time and probably just retire, what do you think?

Not very easy to say, I can't really see anyone taking him on realistically at this point. There is talk about a mathcup with both Diaz and GSP at a catchweight, and I can see both those fights go either way, especially GSP which stylistically is similar to Sonnen, but also has amazing GnP. Not sure if Diaz would fare as well though, he is a great striker, but relies on volume, rather than solid single hits, and may face some very harsh counter punching. So of those two matchup, I think the only realistic one is GSP.
I have heard some rumors about Alexander Gustavson dropping down a weight class and giving it a go, but I think he would run out of time with fighting other contenders before Silva retires..
Other than that.. Hm, Gegard Mousasi would be a candidate when he is done doing boxing in the olympics, he is amaizing on his feet with pin point accuracy and really heavy hands and he fights well off his back, but I suspect Silvas bjj might prove to bee a few notches too good if Silva takes him down.

ahh georges the most amazing and talented boring fighter
he was so exciting to watch before he lost to matt seirra
nows hes just so damn conservative
onces hes undoubtably gonna win on the score cards he goes into cruise control
not that he puts it all out there in the first place
but we all know how this fight plays out
condit on his back for the majority of 5 rounds
