*Hardcore*

I saw those guys live in a basement about…uhhh....I guess 5 years ago now. They were nice dudes. I bought records from them. I know I sold one, but I think I might still have one sitting on my shelf. Not sure. There is one song by them with a title about cell phones, which was pretty cool. I can't remember any more. I always enjoyed Graf Orlock quite a bit more.

Yeah one of the dudes gets tattooed by one of my tattoo artists. We were listening to there trainwreck split when they were about to release it. Had to be 07ish. Good times.

I listed a whole lot of my old hardcore 7"s for sale on a message board last night. Quite a strange feeling to be back in that world however briefly. Feeling a bit nostalgic atm but my philosophy is that if my past (Hardcore) can fund the present (IH shirting) and my future (a wedding in Hong Kong) so be it!
Some things just stay with you though:

these pics are from about ten years ago. show in hamilton, ontario canada upstairs at sonic union
converge, death threat , the cursed and i cant recall the openercheck out the cut on rbg (almost certain i had a similar mop at the time hahaha )
and the best photo ive ever taken even if it was a total accident
sorry rbg i cant find the disc that has the rest i know i took like two rolls that night too
-
I think I saw Converge around the same time (c.2002) in Leeds, England. Cool show and I remember RBG's mop hairdo, ha.
-
seul, the lead singer is the dude with the headphones on and sweet mustache beside rbg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cursed_%28band%29
so yes
also the opening band was at the mercy of insperation -
haha yeah man that mop was out of control for a bit. i remember that show vividly…it was one of Cursed's first shows and they were epic! Radwan from Ire was playing bass for them at the time. Cursed is easily the most underrated hc band of the 00's. They never got their just due. I'm a fan of anything Colohan is a part of.
-
that was a great show
awesome venue. wish they could have kept it going
even the store they had there is long gone which is epically sad (i actually walked in there one day not knowing it was gone and its now some ladies office and she looked at me funny and asked if she could help me and im like "you dont sell records anymore?" and walked out confused)
also at that show they had basically just finished rebuilding that room and making the stage. someone left a hammer on stage and aaron from death threat was rocking it in his mic hand with the cable wrapped around i know i have pics of that cause i thought how dumb it looked
and yeah the swarm aka knee deep was great stuff to
should dig out there 7" i have -
Never saw a show with Colohan mate… No idea what he looked like...
Yo please someone on here tell me they loved ALL IS SUFFERING... More metal version of HIS HERO IS GONE...
Reminds me of the I FIGHT EVERY DAY tattoo on the +BLANK+ dude... Damn I'll edit when I come up with the band... Such a good band, sweetheart of a guy...
