Shrinkage might get you to 32", but probably not all the way to 31.5". Best advice is what's already been said- wear then for a while to see how they settle, then hem if necessary
-
thanks guy. I'll probably just soak them and see how it goes. still, I doubt they can shrink up 1". sounds too much.
-
no wash volcano..they shrink 10 inch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
muaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaachill man. why the excitement?
-
Hmm… might as well get a tailor made cotton duck. Best fit of all, choose your own cutting length...etc no worries. Enjoy rocking z duck
best fit? what about quality?
anyway i was just asking questions on possibility of shrinkage for the length thats all. so chill guys. don't have to get all worked up.

if you´re really are that concerned, then i´d just go ahead and give´em a quick soak to see what´s up!…if nothings happened, then re-hem, otherwise just wear and hope for more shrinkage during the next soaks/washes!...
read it and chill;-)
u re make a big drama boy! -

u re make a big drama boy!im all relax buddy. its soaking as im typing now. however i still think to shrink 1" is kinda mission impossible. gonna get them hemmed again i guess..

thanks for the information mates. appreciate them. now just waiting for them to dry.

They shrink maybe an inch in inseam over the course of several washes. This is from Mankarat and Giles.
put a piece of wood in the waist during the soak…so u have control over the soak/shrunk;-)
damn! i forgot about that!!!! would it help if i put a stick or hanger now while its drying to control the shrink in the waist? the waist before soaking is perfect. any smaller means i'm screwed.

thanks for the advice mates. now it's hung to dry. it sure looks horrible in this state now.
