Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?

Addict do a similar(ish) thing with Ts - http://www.addict.co.uk/products/cat/limited_edition
It's a cool idea.

Yes, but artist t-shirts are a really old hat. And printed t-shirts are so ubiquitous that it gets really, really boring. I have maybe 3-4 t-shirts with some print on them and all were freebies. I mostly wear them as nightwear. Note that the wine labels are even older as an idea.
What I like is the transfer of the idea almost on a 1:1 scale from a luxury item such as wine to a "become luxury" item such as jeans that are normally cheap workwear. With luxury products and art it is the refinement that brings the distinction in value. The next thing is scarcity. Both are given with IH jeans (and Mouton wine).

Till. Thanks for the idea. Cool. I just have to be very careful with what I suggest to Haraki. And I have so many ideas, I have to time the requests quite carefully. The one thinkg that I always have to bear in mind is that this is Haraki's brand and vision, so I need to be circumspect when making suggestions, they do not things that would dilute his vision…G

I haven't read the entire thread yet but I'd like to suggest something I've been wanting forever.
If I could have any IH product I wanted it would be another vest, but not a type 3 looking vest.
I'd just love a 22oz vest that didn't look like I bought a denim jacket and cut the sleeves off. Something with more than a couple pockets to carry all my crap so I don't have to stuff everything in a saddlebag or wear a backpack. I commute every day and go riding on the weekends here in Florida and would love a vest that had enough pockets to carry my gloves, my cap and a couple pair of glasses. I'd love something similar in cut to the Post O'Alls cruzer or royal traveler vests but with a heavy weight yet not unbearable in the Florida heat.
Just another vest option might be nice.

giles, back in november i suggested if haraki-san can make a steel braided wallet chain and bracelet. similar to something like this…
Braided Stainless & 14kt gold
"Silky soft spun threads of stainless steel braided into an indestructible 6mm necklace with 14kt yellow gold swivel German lobster claw closure clasp. This is the same style of braided stainless steel that you would see on high pressure water or hydraulic hoses in the engine room. Average weight is 37gms, these are in 16" lengths only. Very, very distinctive and noticeable. For our auto and motorcycle enthusiast, you will love them!"
this is just an example. i'm sure haraki-san will put his magic touch on this (minus the gold) if it goes to fruition
this is a match made in heaven

Giles, of course, Haraki-sans vision comes first. That goes without saying. But vision comes from inspiration and we hope he can find that here.
I like the flex-line idea for a wallet chain. I don't know about the jewelry type flex-line but the car type I'd dare to say would not be flexible enough I think. Is the jewelry type much softer?

A superblack shop apron would be nice
Yeah, could be worn in the kitchen or at the grill, too. Cool idea. I have a heavy cotton kitchen apron in black canvas (actually a 2:1 weave). I think it's Le Creuset and it does great service when I'm really hitting the pots, especially since I read in Pepin's Techniques and Methods how to correctly tie an apron and integrate a kitchen towel into it. Super practical!

I did get a few (but they gone now). The issue with the small stiuff is that shipping and taxes bump the end price up disproportionately. Best if you can wait and I'll pick some up when I am physically in Japan. G
Why don't they just throw them in the packages when they send you a big shipment? Taxes would still be there if everything goes according to the rule book but shipping could probably be reduced, no?
