Samurai Jeans
-
I tried a L once and it was perfect. I'm L in most IH shirts, XL in some. But that is just based on one experience.
-
Samurai sizing on shirts, and their cut and sewn, does vary wildly though. Some of their XL tees have a pit to pit measurement of 20".
I would recommend being very sure before ordering.
-
Having said that, my only actual "hands on" experience of Samurai tops comes from three or four tees, a hoody and a type 2 jacket I've owned. Never actually owned a button up shirt.
-
Got my old 710 out…still love the denim and fit so much, I'm considering another pair.
-
Their sizing for shirts is a bit inconsistent - I'm wearing their shirts in M and L depending on the model, thickness of fabric and shrinkage of fabric.
Getting actual measurements from Samurai will be tricky and I fear that 2nd also might not sent measurements…

Japanese website mention this washed on their sizing chart but i have doubt on the translation, can anybody help confirm if tag size 38 has 52cm and i can expect minimal or no shrinkage at all if i soak/wash this one or should i consider the size 40 chest 54cm and expect some noticeable shrinkage. many thanks.

All Samurai denim jackets are one washed, you will not get much shrinkage. Trust me, I had the same question a couple of years ago, owned one very similar to the one pictured (mine was the Jin denim), and washed it with no shrinkage.

Wabi-sabi man. Busted pocket threads look pretty cool in my opinion.
(but if you hate it, I would check the Repairs and Modifications thread for home repair tips).

Common problem on these, mine went after about 4 months and I just left them. Never got any worse so…. up to you I guess.
