1st Engineer Boots - Red Wing or Chippewa?
-
Hey Guys,
Due to all this IH forum wackiness I'm jonesing for some brown or merlot engineer boots. I know that there are several top-shelf choices (Wolverine Stockton, Wesco, White's, Viberg, RRL, JL, etc.) but I want to start slow but still get a quality pair of boots, so which brown boots do you guys suggest, Red Wing or Chippewa? Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Moonshine, just buy the Merlot Viberg Engineers. You know you will eventually in any case, so I'm saving you the cost of a lesser pair.

well….yes and no...
Chips are fine, and if these are your first engineers...start with those, and move on upwards. Everybody needs at least 2 pairs of engineers in their life. They're boots not just ankle high shoes with laces ( I'm still stumbled that ankle high shoes with laces are called boots);)
