Triple Works - The New Jeans World Tour
-
Saturday worked out to be a day for relaxation.
The WT jeans at rest. Damn Cerberus is gonna feel my wrath…
I also swung by the store to see if I could find a particular beer. Came up empty on the one I'm hunting, but that doesn't mean I came home empty handed. Grabbed a few singles, plus a sixer from a local(ish) brewer.
Cheers, people!

The wabash just gets better each time I wear it. Too bad it's getting warm again…And an outtake; this is when I miscounted on the camera self-timer. Oops.

OK, so it's about time for another post. This week is Spring Break for the kids and we decided to get out of Houston and go do something interesting. So we hitched the horses up to the wagon and hit the trail for New Braunfels, in the Texas Hill Country. Of course, that meant getting suitably fueled up. Did you know Red Bull comes in different flavors now? I didn't. Lime is only decent…
First day we had lunch at the Gristmill in Gruene. The Gristmill is in the historic section of the town of Gruene, right next door to the Gruene Hall. The Gruene Hall was built in 1878 and is the oldest continually running dance hall in Texas. The area overlooks the Comal River, though it's not much more than a creek at this point.
We also went to Natural Bridge Caverns, named for the natural stone bridge.
From that point, you go down, down, down into the caverns…
And see cave stuff, like stalactites and stalagmites and weird jellyfish like things.
Plus the occasional bored looking child
All in all, a pretty good day.

They're everywhere, aren't they? Waste of time to photograph one, really…

Oh God no.
I grew up in North Carolina; Charlotte, to be exact. I went to college in Arizona, then ended up in New Jersey for a few years. I met my Texas born and bred wife there and she "convinced" me to move here. I've been a resident alien for about eight years now.
It feels longer…

North Carolina is beautiful and New Jersey gets a bad rap. I'll fight you on those two, pig boy.
