i cant imagine sizing down I actually sized up
I agree with not sizing down…I went with my normal M.....did size up on the Johnny to L. Perfect fit.

I went tts with my 80 and it fIts great.

Just ordered the red in a size L from SE. I'm a bit on the fence since I have really long arms and probably need the XL, so we'll see. The chest is definitely right though, as I'm slim up there. Tall and skinny is tough to work with when it comes to Japanese denim brands
Anyways, I was wondering if people have actually noticed any shrinkage with a regular cold wash (no dryer of course)? SE says .5 inches possible of shrinking, and if that actually happens it could push the sleeves into clown-short territory for me. I will see how it fits when it gets here and decide then. (I can always get store credit and spring for those 23 oz 301s they has comin out at the end of the month

I'm 6'6" which is why I opted for the Xl, after the wash a L would have likely been elbow length… Ok, elbow length might be a slight exaggeration but even the XL sleeves are just long enough post wash. My recommendation would be exchange for an XL if possible. I know instant gratification makes returns difficult sometimes by in he long run you'll appreciate the beer fit and get our money's worth plus out of the shirt....

Ah bummer. I'm 6'2 so not quite as big but it sounds like you may be right. At this cost I really need a shirt to fit well.
Bummer, I really want an iron heart shirt but need something in a lighter weight. Anyways I'll have to choose from Self Edge's stock since they don't allow refunds. Thanks for the tip, I'll see when it arrives.

successfully shrank mine a bit more, new measurements (and old ih measurements):
arm: 61,5 cm (old, 63)
chest: 49,5 cm (old 52)
length: 73 (old 74)size: m
i am pleased with the shrinkage! this was after a 95 c wash and a go in the dryer on hot. the shirt is getting a lot of love these days and always receives compliments - especially the buttons.
